"I have stayed at this property for 20 or more years and it has declined significantly in the past two years. I think it needs a full update of decor and infrastructure. It’s unfortunate as it is so well located to the center of south bend. The floor of my room was fake wood that left my bare feet dirty whenever I walked in it. There was a seriously stained toilet bowl, or it was allowed to sit and not cleaned properly. TV was a mess with two remotes and no logical way to use them. I had to call for help twice and almost a third time. The lighting in the room was very dark. Even with the drapes open."

"This house is amazing. A really well preserved Victorian in a district of similar houses. The appointments and decorations are warm and comfy, everything works as it should. The owner is helpful and responsive. You are sure to enjoy your stay."

"The pool was out of order. I booked my reservation 8 months prior and was told my reservation was canceled 3 days prior to my stay when I was checking in. I was not notified. The younger lady who was there was very rude. They did end up giving me a room but it was a downgrade from what I had purchased and a smoking room which smelled horrible."
