Very good staff.
Hotel restaurant had a great dinner menu The food and service was excellent
Louis the hotel manager was a great help with my stay, by allowing me to extend my stay and then a late check out.
In Sosua on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.Situated in this wonderful countryside, is the ideal place to relax …More
"This place is definitely a single man's paradise "
The hotel is located literally 1500 feet from the action or a 4 minute walk to either Rumba which a equilivent to a hooters lol, and 6 minute walk to Classico which is the club. As for the hotel this was my first time not staying at a resort such as RIU or SANDALS so I was a bit nervous what to expect, however I must say this hotel hit the spot perfectly. Breakfast is served too you as part of your say and they possess the best french toast so there's no need to experiment lol the French Toast gets the job done👍😄. As far as security is concerned I give it a 10 so no need to feel uncomfortable they have armed security at night, and they are very friendly and helpful. The maintenance is very good every morning new towels and toiletries are provided, along with room cleaning so no need to worry about cleanliness it's on point👌.
Now for the "great stuff" Sosua is a town of two tales in the day things are very slow and homely so you spend your time either lounging or sleeping because at night starting around 5 pm is when thing start to heat up and I mean real fast👀😍😗😙😘💅. That's when all the GIRLS start to come out and as a man you go crazy because unlike in the USA when woman require you to court them it's completely the opposite in here pleeeease believe me when I say it's gonna shift your mentality completely. To make a long story short just imagine yourself going car shopping but instead it's woman shopping where you dictate the price $2500 Pecos is the limit
If you are looking for a place that is close to the beach and all of the action of Sosua this is a place that is worth checking out. The beach views are amazing and the room amenities were nice. I had a king size bed with a nice size bathroom with plenty of space. The balcony with the ocean view was stunning to see. The hotel staff was pleasant and very helpful. For those who are not fluent in spanish the staff spoke good english and they did not laugh at my bad spanish. They told me about the different places to go and helped arrange for me a taxi to return to the airport. Housekeeping kept the rooms cleaned which is a plus. I had an incident when one of the locales was preventing me from returning to the hotel from the casino and the security team responded rapidly and resolved the situation. Great staff all around. I would definitely stay there again.
Stayed at this resort for 5 days. The views and beach are fantastic. The staff was good and personable. The food at the buffet was marginal.A rez for dinner was required for the non buffet dinner. That was alot better than the buffet food where MOST people had to eat. Breakfast was.poor. Bad pancakes and overcooked omelets as well as way.... Too sweet juices ALL THE TIME. Inexcusable for a hotel of this size NOT TO have a GYM. The local inundate the property on the weekend and although they add alot of energy to the property they also were notorious for allowing their children in the adult only spas.Mgmt should monitor better. Lastly the so called " Entertainment" by the hotel was abysmal, Horrible and BORING. MGmt NEEDS to understand that their primary market is TOURISTS from OTHER countries who would be happy just being able to go out and dance to More Popular Music and not be relegated to listening to Spanish Music ALL THE TIME. The common complaint was there was no popular music to dance to. The property is good for the money however just a few tweaks could make most tourists experience so.much better.
I stayed 3 nights (thurs till sunday) and left with a great impression of the hotel and its beauty and even better impression of the service.
Rooms/grounds- to my surprise upon checking in we were shown to a 3 bedroom unit overlooking the water despite booking just a basic room and paying what i thought was very regular/standard prices for a hotel like the Gansevoort. My girlfriend and I were both amazed as the unit was incredibly spacious and the views of the beach were breathtaking. The room had walk-in closests/over-heard shower/outdoor deck to enjoy the water view. I can't say enough about how pleasantly surprised we were with the rooms!
Omar and Miguel were both exceptional in their attention to detail and interest that they took in us enjoying our trip. Omar arranged a car rental and trip to the waterfalls. He gave us his cell phone number incase we got lost and said he is around whenever to help. Also, we forgot to bring sunscreen so Omar left the facility to seek a brand of our choice. Miguel was very helpful in recommending nightlife and checked in with us frequently at the pool to make sure we had drinks/food whenever needed. It was just the right balance from both of them of attention to detail but allowing us space/privacy when we were relaxing. Also, Emanuel at Baia louge was excellent in looking after us as well.
By far the best and healthiest food we tasted of the trip was at the hotel. Starting with breakfast (which was complimentary
Rick the owner was absolutely great and hospitable. Staff was very helpful. Exchanged currency at anytime at a good rate. Gated motel and safe. No hidden fees. Street parking always available. Flexible with guests. If you are on a tight budget, this is the place for you. A short ride to the action and beach. Any problem that risen, Rick was there to solve.
Sosua is a small town on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, about 10 minutes from the international airport. The town has a tourist area and a residential area that are separated by the main public beach. During World War II, Sosua welcomed a number of Jewish refugees from Germany and Austria. Today, the town has a small synagogue and is popular with European tourists and expatriates.
