I definitely recommend upgrading to a seaview room, the view is breathtaking. The hotel is clean and pool is fantastic. There is a 10 min. walk to a local village, which is lovely and quaint. Alot of tourist meet up at the restuarants there. The shuttle service from the hotel is extremely helpful to go to town or other locations. I would suggest taking the tours suggested in the Hotel. Overall, I will definitely be coming back. Thank You Hotel Jaccarino

By far the nicest hotel we stayed at on our Italy vacation. The place was super clean. The front desk was excellent. Thank you Marta for all the advice! The room was spacious with a separate area for a child to sleep. It's a old historic hotel. We didn't know when booking that just up the hill behind the hotel was an entire community full of fun shops and restaurants that come alive in the evening. The hotel offers a shuttle from the town of Sorrento which was a huge plus. They will take you to the train station as well. The pool was awesome and the views from our room were really special. Some really wonderful restaurants can be found within walking distance and are a must see. Try Lo Stuzzichino restaurant and a boat cruise of the Amalfi coast.

Hotel Jaccarino exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were absolutely amazing and felt like family from the get go. Thank you so much for the amazing service, friendly attitudes, and making us feel so welcome. Special mention to the waitstaff in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner time, they were so lovely and we hated saying goodbye when we left! We will definitely be back!

Would come back
Large old hotel with beautiful grounds. Plenty different areas inside and out to sit around to read or chat with friends. Nice convenient location, only two minutes walk to a little village with good restaurants, grocery stores and small shops. Shuttle bus to Sorrento few times daily. Average quality breakfast. Beautiful swimming pool. Live music on Sunday nights.

Lovely hotel
Beautiful view from terrace. Quaint hotel full of character. Didn’t like our room view so the manager Renato changed room for us obligingly. Would have given higher rating but bed and pillows were hard. Free bus to sorrento was a bonus. Reception, Bar, terrace and cleaning staff very friendly. Would definitely stay again. Great location with some lovely restaurants close by.

Beautiful view
We like the Jaccarino as the view of the bay of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius is the best and the staff are helpful. It backs on to a lovely Italian village (St Ágata) where you can eat in friendly restaurants. The only negatives are no kettle in the room (so we take one with us)

Enjoyed staying here very much
The property is very nice and the view is worth seeing. Short walk into the village which has some fantastic restaurants and several times a day shuttle service to Sorrento. I wasn’t planning to stay there when I booked it because I thought the hotel was on Capri but I can’t complain about this mistake.

Very pleasant stay! Amazing views, good breakfast and food in general. Staff members are polite and friendly. The hotel looks a bit dated and tired here and there but overall it worth what we paid.

It’s a bit hard to get to this hotel from Touristy areas but not impossible, the highlight is the pool and dining area here, it over looks the gulf of Naples and it’s BEAUTIFUL, we enjoyed the hotel shuttle to sorrento, it’s very on time. The breakfast buffet was the best we’ve had during our trip. Lots of varieties of fruits, pastries and meat. However the room was outdated and smells bad because the sewage scent from the washroom kept coming in. Our room happened to be beside a dog that just kept barking. Good thing we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay considering the price point.

We loved our stay at Hotel Jaccarino! It had beautiful views, clean service, and a delicious breakfast! The atmosphere was beautiful and we even loved the free live music on the patio on Friday night! The only thing that we didn’t love was that when we were trying to checkout early to get to our flight on time, no one was at the desk for over 10 minutes.

Beautiful place, however the rooms are up for an upgrade, mainly beds mattresses, as the most uncomfortable ever and the the hairdryer!! Also, a massive shame for being charged for water in the rooms- would expect it to be a standard in 4*. Breakfast could be improved too as the same every day with not many options. Staff ok but could be more chatty. Overall ok, but overpriced for what it is. Thanks.

It was good and i will come again if i come Sorren
The service especially from the bel boy and the driver was superb. The hotel is old and beautiful but the rooms hve to be more updated and the blankets shuld be better.the breakfast can be more reach .the view is amazing.

Totally below average. Rooms are dated, the bathroom smelled horrendous and the overall smell in the room was unpleasant. Our room was above public toilets and was loud and added further to the smell. Could here dogs barking all night. The staff were short and unhelpful. An elderly woman had a terrible fall one evening and when I went to speak with the front desk to call an ambulance I received a loud sigh and mumbled words of annoyance. Only redeemable features are the pool and the view. Would not recommend.

This hotel was really lovely. Old fashioned in a good way. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds and good sized bathroom.. The shuttle service was very handy but given the distance from town it would be nice to have more of them. I will definitely return

The hotel was immaculately clean throughout. The breakfast food choice was poor and very bland. Some staff were very friendly for instance the bar staff and shuttle bus driver were happy and helpful. The reception staff were poor, they did not make any conversation and were not helpful overall. The hotel is located with good views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Overall an average hotel.

Amazing view from common terraces and some rooms. Nice pool. Dinner was good but breakfast was not. We had to cab back and forth a few times because its out of town. Usually about 50 euros each trip. They have a shuttle but not on Sundays. The hotel needs remodeling, and soon. The lady that runs the front desk is terrific as well as the wait staff. We stayed in Room 10. Great balcony, room was less than inviting. Quiet, tricky shower.

Great getaway
Great getaway place high above Sorrento and the crush of tourists. Spectacular views and gorgeous lobby and pool area. Adjoins a quaint small town with a number of good restaurants and a little shopping. The farm tour they offer is fabulous. Price of being on top of the mountain is long drive to go sightseeing. Only negatives are rooms are very basic and food at the hotel is mediocre ( we ate dinners in town 5 minute walk from hotel).

Great location with spectacular views across the bay and Mt Vesuvius. Not so friendly f&b staff. Did not get the room that was booked. Instead was told this upgrade to a balcony room was all that was available... Sounds good until you see the balcony overlooking the rear alley and the neighbours rubbish pile next door. Bed hard as rocks.

Perfect First Visit to Sorrento Area
We chose this hotel to be up in the hills rather than in the city, so the 20 minute journey to/from Sorrento was no inconvenience. We used the local SITA buses (€1.30 each way, stop Sant’Agata sui due Golfi) as they were more frequent than the hotel’s free bus. We have no complaints about the hotel, staff or location. The rooms were authentic Italian, not sterile ultra modern; the staff friendly and very helpful and the view stunning. We were a short walk (less than 5 mins) from the village of Sant’Agata with a small number of shops, pharmacies and many restaurants/cafes/bars.

Lovely, charming old world hotel with old fashioned service too! Beautiful views across the bay to Vesuvius both from the terrace and the swimming pool. Our room was large enough with nice views although not all room are the same and I guess you'll get what you pay for. Staff are all attentive and friendly. Considering this is the Sorrento area, the drinks etc from the bar are really well priced. There's a lovely village right behind with at least a dozen restaurants, bars, hotels etc which helps make the stay here even more special.

This is a very good hotel with superb friendly staff, eager to assist at any point. We had a room with two terraces, a small one and a larger one which gave superb views over the Bay of Naples. Comfy bed (Two twin beds pinned together with only the sheets) but tricky when the sheets come loose, as they do during sleep. Beds can wander a little. No kettle or tea of coffee in the room, so we brought our own travel kettle and necessities. There is fridge within the room stocked with soft drinks only, at least some room for shop bought milk. Views from the terrace are sublime and at night, even better. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of it. Free shuttle at certain times to and from Sorrento. You could walk there as the direct path passes next to the hotel but it is around 2 kilometres and all downhill, sometimes quite steep sloping paths. Walking back would require a decent level of fitness and plenty of water. You can have clothes laundered at a price, room service but we found the evening meal there a little disappointing. So we chose to eat locally. Don Alfonso is nearby at £130 a time but Restaurant Mimi, en route from the hotel to town, is a better bet. 30 to 40 Euros for two people with wine and water and at least two courses with the obligatory Lemoncello or Melloncello as a gift. Our room was a little difficult to get to but the staff carried our bags thankfully, saving us a two flight set of spiral stone and marble staircase. lifts elsewhere. We plan to return.
