The Astoria is lovely, inexpensive and convenient to lots of restaurants and shopping. Staff were friendly and helpful once we could combine our limited Italian with their limited English.
Difficult to find using google maps. When it says you have arrived and you are in front of the municipal building look to the left for the narrow pedestrian walkway, go down it a short way and you will find the entrance to the hotel.
Tile floors were a little dusty but otherwise clean. Our biggest problems were 1) the power outlets are old and don’t hold adapters well. 2) parking is off site in a garage, no big deal, but communicating with the desk clerks wasn’t always easy in regard to retrieving our car or having someone return it to the garage.
Sorento is great and the Astoria is a great part of our visit.
