If looking for a hotel for your city break in Stockholm then this hotel should definitely be considered. 8-10 minutes on the metro to get into the city centre and old town, never waiting more than 10 mins for each train. This hotel is such good value compared with more central hotels. Hotel and breakfast lovely. Thanks for a great stay.
This hotel was chosen as a relaxing venue as the final part of a three-stage trip to Scandinavia. The hotel group provides a '100% satisfaction guarantee'. However, due to the noise of the fashion show being held in marquees in the adjoining grounds and the fact that, on our first night we were given a room with a connecting door, we only had to pay for 5 nights of our 7-night stay.
This is a very good hotel to stay at but I would recommend avoiding booking during the annual fashion show unless you do not intend to go to bed before 1:00 a.m.
This is where I stay whenever in Stockholm. Always.
Unfortunately, it's hit or miss. Most times it's a hit, and everything is fab. This time was a miss.
- Shower door seal was broken, and tile floor felt slippery. I got a fungus infection from touching the fixtures.
- Water knobs were turned so tight that I needed the nice guy from reception to come up and undo
- Room was not soundproof to the inside so every door slam, elevator ride and conversation was heard
- Curtains didn't cover the main window and small window had no curtains, which means I was awaken by the sun every day at 5:30 or had to cover my head with a pillow or mask
- Lost diamond from ring and no one contacted me until after room had been cleaned
I couldn't change rooms because they were fully booked.

Myself and my sister stayed for a week at the First Solna Hotel. Though the hotel was a little bit further from the centre of Stockholm, it was well worth it. The hotel was reasonably priced and included most of the amenities we were looking for.
We liked the fact that the First Solna Hotel had a 24/7 manned service desk with friendly and knowledgable staff. All of the hotel employees also spoke English which was helpful for us. We also felt safe and secure ensured at the hotel as guests were required to use a key card to enter the hotel. Though the area around the hotel was not very appealing, the location was actually great, and very safe.
The room was a fair size compared to other European hotels, with comfortable beds that were made up daily. We also had a desk and television set that broadcasted channels in both English and Swedish. The bathroom was a good size for two people, and was cleaned on a daily basis, with towels being changed as frequently as you requested.
The hotel also included free wifi and continental breakfast. The wifi was easy to connect to on multiple devices. Breakfast was always served at a reasonable hour and offered a lot of selection.
The walk to the subway station was only 8 minutes, and the ride into Gamla Stan took 11 minutes.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax after a busy day in the city.
To find this hotel was not easy. Best that the hotel gives a thorough description of how to get there from the pendeltåg Ulriksdal station and metro solna centrum then take bus 505 540 etc. Google earth is not good.
The facilities are basic but clean. I don't think I would want to stay there in the winter time as poorly insulated against sound and single glazed windows one small radiator. I could hear my neighbours talking n snoring all night. The price for sweden was cheap. I think I got what I paid for.
Solna is located in the Stockholm metropolitan area, within 4 km of central Stockholm. The area is a large centre of employment because of the large number of businesses and medical establishments located there. Hagaparken is a large nature park on Lake Brunnsviken, and contains Haga Castle and King Gustav III's pavilion.
