The hotel was in a good location for a reasonably priced taxi journey into Birmingham. The check in and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is a little tired and in need of a bit of an over haul. The room itself was clean, and comfortable in the main. A few observations that leg it down were the lack of a mattress protector or similar making the zip seam joining the mattresses together uncomfortable to sleep on. The paintwork in the main room and bathroom was very old and chipped and although the room was clean and sheets fresh, there was some personal hair left in the bath.

Lovely, helpful friendly staff. Hotel is situated right opposite Touchwood, therefore shopping on your doorstep and restaurants. However, I ate in the hotel and had a really good meal. I would not hesitate to go back and to recommend.
"Nice hotel, good location, good parking facilities"
Nice hotel, perhaps a little bit dated, but the hotel is currently undergoing renovation. We had a large room overlooking the bowling green. The parking fee is waived if you are staying over at the hotel.
We had a nice meal in Georges bar, it was bar food, but was lovely, and reasonably priced for a hotel. The main restaurant was "fancy" food and not to our tastes. The bar itself was very pleasant.
We had breakfast at the hotel too, which was help yourself to what you wanted, it was reasonable for the price.
My colleague and I were late arriving but the restaurant still was able to serve up splendid food. Room was clean spacious and wifi worked well. Bathroom was sparkling although the multi head shower bath comb controls took a bit of figuring out. Can't recommend it enough
Chose this hotel for its proximity to the NEC and wasn't disappointed, easy 10 minute drive.
On arrival was greeted by a very friendly Receptionist (Cara) who couldn't have been more helpful. Couldn't fault any of the staff at the hotel. Hotel bar was pleasant to hang out in, restaurant was somewhat cafeteria like (although staff were great). Wouldn't choose this hotel based on the leisure complex as the Hot Tub was out of use and the pool and changing rooms were full of young, loud and poorly supervised children! However proximity to the NEC would certainly make me pick this hotel again.
About 15 km southeast of Birmingham in the West Midlands is Solihull, a mainly residential community. An affluent city, Solihull's most notable landmarks include The George (now a hotel), dating from the 16th century; and the Manor House, dating to 1495.
