Overall Satisfied

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Pros: -spacious clean rooms with some updating -all appliances worked -plenty of hot water -large closet -clean pool/hot tub -washer/dryer -
Cons: -the bathroom sink faucet is due for replacement -Install a curved shower curtain rod to allow more room in the shower -replace lumpy pillows
Location: Excellent restaurant next door
Although check-in wasn't smooth the clerk was friendly and helpful. I asked for an upstairs room but was given a downstairs room (despite requesting the upstairs room at booking). The clerk immediately and with genuine effort worked to change my room. It took several minutes because he told me he was new but he was able to do it. Parking was never an issue and all the amenities worked. The fridge, microwave, and carpet appeared newer but the wallpaper was peeling; it was difficult to completely turn off the water at the sink, and the pillows were very lumpy. My biggest complaint is that the free breakfast is a joke. It was worse than a gas station. Fortunately this was easy to remedy because the restaurant mere steps from the breakfast room was terrific. I liked that I could lock my window in a slightly open position. I sleep better when the air is fresh and so this was nice. There was plenty of storage space (dresser, closet, etc.) which I appreciate because I travel for work and often stay several nights and like not having to live out of my luggage. My hotel phone didn't work though so I couldn't call the front desk when I needed to. I didn't get to try the pool or hot tub but they looked clean all around.

Location is ok, everything else not so much

Posted 08-Aug-2016
The hotel was very dirty- the carpet was actually sticky and turned our feet black. There was only one bath towel on arrival (room with two queens)- when we asked for more the staff treated it like it was a hassle. No wash cloths. Mysterious stains on the walls. Toilet dirty. Water pressure virtually nil. I had brought swim suits thinking my kids would enjoy the spa- nope out of order. "Fitness room" filthy with trash on the floor. Convenient in terms of location, but even with that I would not stay here again.

Disgusting and Dangerous if u have toddlers

Posted 12-Jul-2016 on Hotels
terrible NOT what hotels.com states in there description, they made in 100 times better then what we saw.. I been using hotels.com for years all I use and first time I ever had a hotel problem.. Very gross room and unsafe if u have kids toddler age.. if ur working and need a room it works for they but definitely not a place for a quick stop with kids. we complained about the safety Ness of the room and was recieved 30 dollars back from a 200 dollar room.. all I wanted was a refund so I can take my family somewhere safer.. we ended up leaving with our 30 bucks.. Hotels.com did not want any part in my situation and after being a customer for at least 57 stays I will NOT be using there APP or company again...

Nicer than I expected. Great location - Close to pretty much any type of "store" you need.

Not all of choices in Soledad

a bit tight that the hotel would not let us check in until 3pm when we arrived at 1pm. NEVER has happened to me before.

Don't stay here if you are in Soledad, CA.

This was the only hotel near the Mission in Soledad that would accept our dog. The room that they put us in was filthy. I spilled water on the carpet and used a towel to soak it up and the towel was black from the dirt that came up from the carpet. The beds were old and blown out - you could feel the springs through the mattress. The bedding was also old - the sheets were rough and the pillows were deflated. All for $120.00. When I mentioned to the desk person as I checked out that the room was filthy - including dirt in the corners of the bathroom etc... she could have cared less and said nothing - not an apology or even an indication that she gave a darn, whatsoever. There is a Hotel 8 next door that I will stay at next time OR Ill just camp at Pinnacles. Have not had a stay this bad in a motel/hotel in decades, to be honest. Even our dog was disgusted.

best hotel for hiking the pinnacles

Posted 26-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Great place to stay if hiking the pinnacles - alas hot tub was not working and wifi is pretty spotty. They were kind though and gave small discount for hot tub as was looking forward to. Some nice wineries around as not much else to do in town.

Wifi didn't work. Needed to change room. The sink has rustic residue in it that doesn't go away. But for the price, it's acceptable.
