Dear Guest, thank you for your kind words regarding our staff, we will pass on your remarks. Regarding our buffet, we cannot see how that is "a joke". During the high season, we mostly have more than 100 guests in the house. Often the restaurant is full to the last seat and there are 80 seats. For this many people we provide a buffet with more than 30 different warm and cold dishes . About 7-8 dishes with fish, 6-7 meat, vegetarian dishes, always 2-3 different potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables, sauces,then choice between ca 7 different desserts. It is simply impossible to have eaten from all these dishes, even if the same offer is presented the day after. You simply have to choose, and even if we would present the same varieties 3 days in a row, it would allow the have a totally different meals every day! Most of our guests-when asked if all is fine-ask the waiter to praise the kitchen chef for the good taste and quality. As often said, taste is very personal. But the fact that you rate our entire hotel (facilities, free activities, friendly staff, view, clean rooms with balcony just 5 meters away from the waterline, and so on) with just 1 star makes us wonder what this 1 star stands for in your opinion. Anyway, we sincerely thank you for having taken the time to inform us about your thoughts. We will definitively work with the given remarks.

Dear mr Moon. You are using strong words, accusing us for "Cheating". Perhaps the problem can be found in the fact that some guests neglect to carefully read the info we provide. The buildings you referred to are at the waterfront Strand Fjordhotel, which has all the rooms with Fjordview, and the building opposite the street is the Strand Fjord MOTEL. Further more, the webpage from Hotels.com shows all our amenities and a TV or phone is not listed as an amenity in our property. If having a phone or TV in the room is important to you, it would have been easy for you to find out whether we offer this amenity BEFORE booking the cheapest room we have to offer. Simply assuming that every hotel in Norway offers TV or phone is a mistake, and it is not fair to have these expectations WITHOUT checking before booking, and afterwards accuse us of cheating , write a bad review and rate us with the lowest possible rates. We suggest that our guests, even at arrival, check whether the room they have booked meets their expectation. This gives us a chance to offer a solution and have a happy guest. Indeed, you are correct saying that the room you occupied is not a hotelroom, but stating that it was "very cheap" (prices are listed as well) and uncomfortable is simply not correct. These rooms have been totally renovated last year: bathroom, new beds, new furniture, new curtains, fresh painted walls and ceiling, new floor laminate. So basically your malcontent is about not having TV or phone, and expecting a hotel room with fjordview for the price of a "cheap motelroom". We are sorry, but don't see that the review you have given is valid nor true and feel very sorry that guests abuse the review platform. Sincerely,
