This hotel is about 10 mins slow walk from city centre . It is a quiet safe area although pavements are in need of serious repair. We had breakfast included and it is as good as any European breakfast. Our room was an economy double and it could definately have done with modernising but the price was cheap. It was clean and functional. The bed is nearly almost my complaint but not here. Our bed was very comfortable and I must commend the owners on this. The price per night is very good. Stella and Gabriella on the desk were very nice. We left are cases as we had a late flight and that was fine. Checkout was 12 which again is great if your flight is late. Thank you for a good value hotel.

Good place to stay
Hotel Light is a very comfortable three star hotel, close to the centre of Sophia. The rooms are basic but quiet and clean with friendly staff. The area route is quiet and safe and is gradually being developed with small boutiques and bars so that it is much quieter than the nearby to the tourist centre.

Felt safe. Comfortable room. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Not far from centre. Very rarely had to use transport as able to walk everywhere. Coffee shops locally. WiFi. They have a little corner in reception where you can print etc. Thoroughly enjoyed and if I came back to Sofia would use again.

The location is close to the city center of Sofia but the hotel's surrounding neighborhood is really quiet and safe. I enjoy my stay here and the hotel staff is super friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel a ten minute easy walk from the Metro (25 minute direct train from the airport) Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms, clean and spacious. Shower was small if you're over 6ft tall it'll be a bit of an adventure. Buffet breakfast great value. Area around the hotel is very gritty but was very safe and the locals couldn't have been friendlier. Air conditioning only blew hot air in both the rooms we had. Would definitely stay there again.

An amazing place! Cleanlines is high 10! Really loved staying at the place! 10min walking from downtown and also close to the Central Station. Have to mention as well that reception staff is great! Especially Stela!😊 Would book this hotel again. Highly recommend!

Short trip
Hotel was ok. Great value for money spacious room but tiny bathroom. Every morning at 8am there was no hot water but at least it was summer and could do cold shower. Nice budget hotel just the reception looked a bit intrusive and scanning when you come and go.

Minor flaws, great overall.
Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean room. Excellent shower. Only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in room. Breakfast was made more complicated; less than half a cup of coffee, no toast, but plain bread was tasty. I'm sure the room-service guy would have put it right, but I'd started to feel sorry for him coming up and down in the lift with the coffee. Eggs and bacon very tasty!

Generally excellent however on one night coming back to the hotel it became apparent that I was being followed. This obviously made me very uncomfortable, especially when he waved at me from the street as I was going up the hotels glass lift. Quite panicked at the time I called the hotel reception to let them know what had happened with a description of the man who had followed me, asking that the staff pay attention to make sure he does not walk in. The woman on the phone was very dismissive, stated there was nothing she could do and generally acted like I was making a big deal out of it. I seriously considered moving hotels but was prohibited by the cost of doing so.

Fab location, super helpful staff. We booked a massage, very last minute, all were so accommodating. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Bathrooms nice, shower v small. It's simple, clean, friendly, easy location. Will stay again. Definitely recommend

Could be much better if not the heavy smell of cigarettes smoke in the room (room 52) and in some of the shared spaces. all the rest was more or less fine, reception is very good, breakfast is nice, location is very good . Due to the smell problem i cannot recommend.

Convenient hotel at the heart of Sofia
The location of the hotel was pretty good. It was not far from the main railway station which is what I needed and it was also close to the centre of Sofia. Everything of interest including the Alexander Nevski cathedral and the Vitosha boulevard were within walking distance. The only drawback with regards to the location was that it was in a side street which made it a bit difficult for orientation in the dark and also nearby was a lot of gaming arcades and casinos - though it generally felt like a pretty safe area. The staff were polite and courteous. I arrived quite late in the evening and the person I dealt with first must have been a night time receptionist. She was a little bit confused at first but generally polite and helpful. She did ask me to leave my passport with her for 20 minutes though which I found a little strange ad staff normally deal with that sort of thing quite promptly. The condition of the hotel was pretty good. The furniture and bathroom equipment was a little dated but generally clean and in good condition. There was a walk in shower in the bathroom which was a plus. The breakfast was included and actually pretty good with plenty of choice Generally I would recommend this hotel who look for a comfortable no frills hotel that is in a convenient location.

Maisonette stay
Stayed with my husband and son in the maisonette. Very spacious with 2 bedrooms and sitting room and a balcony with furniture and mountain view. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again as the hotel was very clean and only 10 to 15 mins walk to the centre and metro
