Professionally Managed by Elevation Vacation Rentals This PET FRIENDLY\*, spacious and convenient townhouse is located across the street from the village, slopes and lifts on the Basin side. 100 yards from the Western Territory lift, Appalachia Kitchen, Tuques and Pizza Slice. Located on the shuttle line, the FREE bus will take you anywhere on the mountain, including Silver Creek. 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 3 floors offers sleeping for 14\. No one above or below you means less noise when you're ready to relax. The large, wood-burning fireplace warms the vaulted-ceiling living room. A new 65" tv in the living room and a smart tv in every bedroom offers multiple areas to unwind. A large deck with wooded views is perfect for the warmer evenings. Outdoor, individual entrances are perfect for avoiding high traffic areas. A few notes to mention: Snowshoe Mountain Resort has been called the Island in the Sky. While the Resort offers the amenities, comforts and entertainment you’d expect from a top-rated resort, its location is 4848 feet high in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia! There is no cell service within an hour from Snowshoe and WIFI in the Village is often weak. Please ensure you have directions and any contact numbers prior to traveling. The space was just enough for 9-10 adults and a couple of pets. There is a large deck that can be accessed through the kitchen. There were a couple of broken towel racks, but everything else was in working order. It is somewhat of a trek with your ski/snowboard gear on, but definitely doable. Just finished a great New Year’s stay at Snowshoe. We loved the location of this rental - it is walking distance to the slopes (even in ski boots - if you don’t mind the steps). We also enjoyed the layout, dual refrigerators, large comfortable couch, and ample number of bedrooms. Unfortunately, not everything was great. There was a broken window (would not close) in the master bedroom. It was very windy and cold during our stay - so this was problematic. We tried contacting the emergency number several times about the broken window, but were only able to leave a message, and no one ever called back or came to check it. Other things to note (for awareness of other renters) - there are no smoke detectors in the house, part of the house still looks like it is in the process of remodeling (exposed wires in upstairs bedroom, broken towel rack in the master bath, etc), and at least 4 lamps had no lightbulbs in them. Closing on a positive note, It snowed while we were there, and the neighborhood was plowed quickly. Overall, great location, just poor communication. ##### Susanna R. We felt like a breaker may have tripped, we looked everywhere for the breaker box but could not find one. We started looking for an extension cord to plug the internet into a working outlet and were lucky to find one on one of the tvs in a guest room. At this point we were able to call the property management company to tell them of our issues. They said they would have someone there to check it out. No one came. We called the following day and they said they were aware of our issues and someone would be there. No one came. On Saturday we did not call because they knew our issues still no one came. Not even a phone call or follow up of any sort. Finally on our last day we called again, the maintenance person showed up at 3:45pm. He said there was nothing he could do because the breaker box was in the converted garage and the property management company did not have access to that part of the property. Wow kind of crazy!
