Not quite a 4 star!

The room was much smaller than expected and no air conditioning made it extremely stuffy. It was very clean, nicely decorated and the bed comfy. The service was not 4 star standard in my opinion. Breakfast was very busy, we were left to stand and not seated. Tables were not re-laid when people had finished resulting in a number of guests having difficulty finding somewhere to sit despite the fact multiple tables were available. We were not offered hot drinks or toast. Our plates were not cleared at any point during breakfast. The staff seemed over-stretched and poorly trained in customer service skills which is again is not what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Having said that, when I mentioned this on checkout (notably I was was not asked how my stay was) I was immediately offered a refund for the breakfast so this was handled well.

Pros: in nice area ,looks good from the out side ,other than some guest form another wedding party throwing up in the bushes out side when we returned
Cons: improve customer service .
Location: nice gardens . requires more parking closer to the hotel .
check staff when we arrived not very helpful required an extra £50 for security ? why . the clients that they promote to staying at their Hotel are not going to run off with the TV or towels . a lot of early morning banging of doors on Sunday. check out ,very confusing return deposits and rehanging cards for the bill . rooms a lot smaller than they like on the web site .

Ok if you have a room with aircon

Pros: The grounds were lovely. Fine in rooms if you have aircon.
Cons: Aircon in all rooms.
Location: Good for location close to our wedding venue.
Daughters room very hot, we had aircon and assumed they would all have it. Corridor very hot. No one to help with luggage to upper floors with no lift. Lovely grounds.

Hotel itself in an ideal location. Room service a terrible let down. First night order was forgotten about, kitchen closed and was offered a sandwich as kitchen had closed. Second night just didn't get any better and after calling room service three times to no avail left and ate elsewhere. Thoroughly unimpressed ... Expected more.

Pros: Solitude
Cons: Prices of drinks in bar are extortionate but monopoly Four star hotel should have modern large beds!!!!
Location: Great for noisy Airport and lovely Slough!
A bit like faulty towers - some things work others don't

Very expensive food and drinks ! £6 a bottle of cider !!
