Nice old manor house, spectacular English setting
Posted 20-Jun-2017 on Hotels
Burnham Beeches is a nice place to stay. The old manor house is nice, in a quaint old English kind of way, with rambling staircases and corridors. The grounds are spectacular, with shaded tables set in the grass. Last time I was there (5 years ago) the staff was a bit "Fawlty Towers", this time more professional. My old negatives are the lack of a/c (minor, it wasn't too hot), and the fact there was no-one to check me out at 6:30am on my last day. Otherwise, it lived up to my expectations. Reasonably easy access to Slough (I was there on business), several good pubs and restaurants within an easy drive.
Comment from Hotel Management
Good Morning Paul,
Sorry for the delay in response.
I am delighted to hear of your positive comments.
I can advise you for future bookings, our Executive and Junior Suites have air-conditioning as they are a part of the new building rather than the grade 2 listed manor house.
We hop to see you return when you are next in the area.
Front office Manager.
