Nice quiet hotel

Posted 15-Sep-2017
Pros: As above.
Cons: As above
Location: Attended a wedding nearby and the location was perfect.
Generally nice quiet hotel with courteous staff. There appeared to be a shortage of staff albeit a lot of guests, including a wedding party was around. This was very significant during breakfast resulting in a long wait to be served. I think it would ease the wait if guests are provided with facilities to make their own toast and get their own milk, leaving the staff only to get the tea/coffee.

Family room stat

Posted 04-Sep-2017
Reception staff were not the most welcoming, probably due to there being a wedding on which we were not part of, but surely all guests are equals? Had a 'quick' meal before we headed out that took almost an hour and a half and only had a kids meal and a mega small expensive portion of French fries which were £4.50! Family room too small for 3 unless u want to keep the walking into the furniture and too hot as above the pool. 2 teabags for 3 people! On checkout they had forgotten to add meal to the bill so good job I am honest but then wish I wasn't as took them forever to work out what to charge me despite me telling them exactly how much I owed them.

Weekend get away

Posted 21-Aug-2017
We have booked this hotel as we stayed there last year and really liked. Unfortunately, this time it did not meet our expectations. At the check in we have been told that pool was broken a couple of days ago. If we would know we could cancel and go somewhere else. We decided to enjoy a Jacuzzi at least, but the water temperature was too hot to stay in it. To add to our disappointment the dining got worse too: very limited choice in the menu, but prices went up. So, we went for dinner to Windsor. Sleep in our room was not really restful neither as the air temperature on the top floor was unbearable, but we could leave the window open for a safety reason. The air con unit in the room was switched off and there was no instruction left how to use. The TV had a broken remote control. So, overall our stay was not really a good value for money.

Just OK!

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Excellent breakfast & table service, Hotel grounds and setting, Friendly Staff, Plenty of parking spaces available, Small but adequate gym and pool.
Cons: State of carpets, furniture, decoration, bar cleanliness, cocktail menu could be better, deal with the noise issue.
Location: Close to Burnham & Slough
Overall facilities when put together are OK but definitely not a 4 Star. Hotel is a bit tired and in need of renovation. Walls are very thin and was woken up by kids in the next room. Weddings happening in summer on weekends make it a little noisy at night on the outside patio. On this basis, price of the of the offering should be lower. However hotel still has better all round facilities than run of the mill hotels in Slough centre.

Staff are very attentive to people's needs.

Posted 07-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff and the food.
Cons: More tables in the bar restaurant.
Location: Set in lovely grounds, near to Windsor attractions.
When we arrived their was a wedding party going on just outside our room, which was quite noisy. We were moved without hesitation and provided with robes and slippers upon request (our room didn't come with them, although we thought all rooms did). The food in the restaurant and at breakfast was really good! A very pleasing stay for 1 night.

with fresh replenishments and a vast choice of cooked food the rate of breakfast is sufficient. Nevertheless all feed back is important to us and I will address your comment at the next team meeting. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Charlotte Joy Front office Manager.

Nice old manor house, spectacular English setting

Posted 20-Jun-2017 on Hotels
Burnham Beeches is a nice place to stay. The old manor house is nice, in a quaint old English kind of way, with rambling staircases and corridors. The grounds are spectacular, with shaded tables set in the grass. Last time I was there (5 years ago) the staff was a bit "Fawlty Towers", this time more professional. My old negatives are the lack of a/c (minor, it wasn't too hot), and the fact there was no-one to check me out at 6:30am on my last day. Otherwise, it lived up to my expectations. Reasonably easy access to Slough (I was there on business), several good pubs and restaurants within an easy drive.

Good Morning Paul, Sorry for the delay in response. I am delighted to hear of your positive comments. I can advise you for future bookings, our Executive and Junior Suites have air-conditioning as they are a part of the new building rather than the grade 2 listed manor house. We hop to see you return when you are next in the area. Kind Regards, Charlotte Joy. Front office Manager.
