Fab hotel, glad I trusted my own judment
Fab hotel , glad I didn't take the reviews too much to heart I booked the Waterfront Hotel as I wanted to return to Malta after an absence of 39 years and to take advantage of low air fares. I picked the waterfront due to the location to get to Valletta, St Julian's , St Paul's, restaurant and bars. I read some of the poor reviews and was a bit apprehensive, but there was no need. Checked in late Wed night, nothing was too much trouble. Superior Room at front overlooking harbour, big enough balcony to have a coffee and catch some rays. Yes there is a road but if you are taking in the stunning scenery , you forget about the rd. The hotel room was very large and comfortable. Like to have the fridge , tea, coffee, etc, replenished every day. Extremely clean , cleaning staff very friendly and thorough. Excellent WiFi for work, etc. Breakfast - well I read some really bad reports but, we go in at 7.00, the hot selection of bacon, sausage, etc tastes excellent and how the cook makes his fried eggs so soft, I do not know. Good selection of breads, fruit, croissants. Restaurant clean, dishes gone as soon as you finish. Staff friendly and can't do enough for you. I am not easily pleased, but this hotel deserves it 4 star status. Leaving on Sunday, but it's been a pleasure and I will return. Thank you all at the Waterfront.PS - 1 fault - we were leaving at 4:00am and were told that there would be tea/coffee/croissants, etc in Reception - There wasn't.
