"My family of 7 liked this house very well. Our only complaint (and I should have noticed this in the listing) was that there is no air conditioning. We were there at the end of July, and it was very warm in the house. The host provided 2 fans, but we could have used several more box fans. The host was very responsive and indicated she would provide more fans in the future. Fortunately, my family always travels with several small fans, or I don't think we could have slept at night. We tried having the windows open, but the road noise woke me up one night and tons of tiny gnats came into our rooms another night. Other than that, everything was fine. The house was a central location for Mesa Verde and the Silverton-Durango train (both of which were amazing!). We would stay here again especially during cooler months! :)"

"We had three family units that stayed at this property and we all had plenty of space. The views were fantastic. We all had a great time and would rent this house again!!"
Cuatros Pinos ~ Quiet Tall Pine Retreat

"My spouse and 2 teen daughters spent a great week at Cutros Pinos! We arrived late in the evening and Jake had provided excellent check-in info and had the cabin ready for us. It was very clean, well equipped, and the furnishing are lovely and comfy. The kitchen is very nice— great for meals and we even used the grill one night. The beds were very comfy— my daughters slept on the bunks— the futon-lower bed was “so great” and the upper bunk doesn’t have a lot of head room, but it didn’t bother my other daughter— she also said it was great! Good shower— plenty of hot water and water pressure. Soft fluffy towels, really nice sheets/ pillows/ blankets etc. Because we were there in July, the AC did a good job cooling the cabin during the day if you leave the doors to the rooms open… and then of course windows open at night for that mountain air! The little back patio area was nice and peaceful. A quick and easy drive outside of Durango-- easy to get groceries. The neighborhood is quiet and nice. We went rafting with Durango Outdoor Adventures (really low water but still super fun), rode the steam train to Silverton (amazing views!), rented a Jeep — also from DOA— and drove to Clear Lake and also Animas Forks (ghost /mining town), and toured Balcony House and Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde (don’t skip Balcony House!)…In addition to just enjoying Durango! And, Jake was helpful and responsive as our host! 10 out of 10 all the way!"

"The cabin in Durango was perfect in every aspect. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware, utensils and serving dishes one would need for any meal preparation. Snacks were even available which is unheard of!We took our dogs and the set up for them was thoughtful. There is even a fenced area for them to run and play without worry.There was a transition in management companies before our stay which led to a small amount of confusion, but with a phone call it was resolved quickly.Overall, the price value and consideration given to the guests are fantastic. In the words of my husband when we walked in the door, "WOW, you did good", says it all. We would definitely rent this property again!"
