Hidden Gem Spa Hotel

The Hempstead House hotel was great for our group weekend break. The service was exceptional and everyone did their best to make us feel valued. The rooms were quite large, very clean and comfortable. The brasserie bar and the Lakes restaurant were very good with great service and a good choice of food and drinks. The spa facilities were clean and adequate and the fluffy towels very much appreciated.

Pleasant enough for a weekend away.

Pros: Lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Nice to have the pool & sauna too.
Location: Leeds Castle is 25 minutes away and a great day-out.
Pleasant stay, unfortunately we got a restricted height room and I'm rather tall. Worth asking about this when you make a reservation.

Pros: Location, gardens, character
Cons: Water pressure in showers
Location: Good location for nearby attractions
Comfortable stay. Convenient location for attending a wedding in th area

Pros: Everything
Cons: Some stains on carpets needed cleaning
Location: Stopped overnight fora wedding , very comfortable stay.
Staff very accommodating in every way , room spotlessly clean , breakfast very enjoyable , would highly recommend this hotel .

Ten years later and still going strong.

I'd stayed at this hotel about 10 to 12 years ago and thought it was fantastic then. It still is fantastic. The rooms a clean and comfortable though the fittings in my room are starting to look a little dated and tired. The same can be said for the restaurant area which I am sure has the same furniture and fittings from 10 years ago but is still comfortable. The service is excellent, the food is of a really high standard and they have a good selection of wines to choose from. I had a slight hiccup on arrival as I had left my wallet at home! I told the receptionist about my predicament and we worked out a solution - much to my relief. A big thanks for that one! They also have excellent spa and gym facilities. If you are looking for accommodation in the Sittingbourne area, you have to stay here.

Absolutely wonderful stay.

Pros: Everything !
Beautiful grounds and character building. The main restaurant food was exquisite. Excellent spa treatments. Every single member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Location and facilities so excellent that we are retuning in a few weeks for a longer stay.

Amazing spa retreat

Pros: Beautiful house, nice rooms, very good spa facilities, amazing restaurant
Cons: Restaurant prices were quite steep considering the overall cost of the stay, but the quality of the food was amazing.
Location: Conveniently close to Sittingbourn, but far enough away there was no traffic noise. We drove to Dover for the morning as it is only 40mins away
Beautiful house and gardens, well looked after. Spa was very well kept, nice and clean and felt very warm and friendly

Bed was very uncomfortable and room was small for a double. d├ęcor outdated especially in en suite.
