Cosy corner of Kent
I was looking to book a hotel in the Sittingbourne area for a 2 night business stay, looked at staying at the local Premier Inn and noticed that the Hempstead House Hotel was only £6 more, so I decided to book that instead. On arrival the receptionist booked me in and showed me to my room. A lovely clean and bright room, with brocade style duvet cover and headboard, a television, tea and coffee making facilities and a beautifully clean ensuite with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The hotel is near the main road but you can't hear it with the windows closed. I had dinner in the brasserie that evening which was lovely as it overlooks the pool. The general ambience within the hotel is cosy along with the open fires in the reception area and the lounge. There are plenty of places to sit and read or chill out and the hotel is set in grounds that you can walk around and sit in if you wish when the weather is good. I didn't use the pool or spa facilities as didn't have time, but they too looked wonderful. As I was staying on my own, I felt welcomed on arrival and safe and secure here, I am due to stay again next week too, I hope that I have the same experience again, it will be interesting to see.
