"The property decor, design, cleanliness is exquisite. The pools and facilities are excellent. Rooms are spacious, breathable and completed with luxury, quality touch. It feels like you’re in a little village community. There are lots of families, young, older whom enjoy the hotel, which brings a very calm presence to the property. The hotel offers a wide range of options. Our personal favourites are then BBQ hut and pizza shack on the private beach. The food is of excellent quality. All enjoyed by an idyllic private beach. The people working in the hotel are very accommodating and friendly, especially the waiters and waitresses in the main restaurant. They tirelessly work with a smile to help and serve patrons. One thing which we didn’t like was how long the main restaurant remained open. It’s almost open 24/7 closing an hour for lunch change over, then dinner change over. The hotel doesn’t need to put on such a carousel of food. People should rest and know that like with life, we are not here to gorge and over indulge every second of the day or night. The food in the main restaurant is also sometimes lacking in quality. However for the large amount of people it caters for, they still produce a very good range of food options. There can also be a bit of confusion if you are new regarding how the a la carte reservations works. We recommend trying to reserve a few weeks in advance of your holiday as the premium times get booked very quick. All in all - fantastic hotel! "

"Lots of nice pools including a full olympic sized lap pool and many other various pools. Lots of water slides, pools, and playgrounds for kids. Great food in the main dining hall, and several nice restaurants (all are buffet style but the food was very good). Well kept, smoothly run, friendly staff."

"We had a wonderful holiday at Bella Beach. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the vibe was friendly and relaxed. It benefits from being a smaller hotel, when compared with some of the adjacent properties. We stayed in late October, so the hotel was naturally quieter, but there was still plenty on offer for guests, and particularly for families. A couple of the noted facilities (mini golf etc.) are no longer available on site, but that didn't detract from our stay. The location is also good; 20mins drive from Heraklion airport and within 60-90mins of many of the popular attractions. Our only observation is that some guests may feel that the five-star rating is misleading, but I think that's possibly a subjective point. This is a quality hotel, but it isn't the high-end luxury that some might expect of five stars. However, it is still excellent and, frankly, suited us better as a family just the way it was. "

"We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back."

"Our room was not very clean. We had left our towels hanging, so did not expect them changed. The bathmat, however, was sopping wet and not changed. Our room was never swept (it is a beach property so hard to avoid sand) and the bathtub and bathroom counters were not washed during our 4 night stay, Upon checkout, they would not offer assistance getting our luggage to our car, which was about 100 yards uphill to the parking lot. The two servers at the pool bar and main bar were professional and welcoming."

"We were stunned at how beautiful the property was. It had many restaurants to choose from, some of the best resort/hotel food we've had. Even an ice cream/crepe bar! Staff was welcoming, warm and friendly. The spa was great. I didn't want to leave b/c they had everything there on the property. Would def come back again and recommend to friends."
