The hotel seemed to be a little older, but, very well-maintained and seem to have been updated recently. We loved our balcony and had a great view. The staff was helpful. The only heads up I would give,, the hotel had mentioned that if we were driving, that we would need a code to let down a barrier so we could get to the hotel. It said to call a phone number. When I did, it was all in Portuguese. In their defense, I did not message them for further details or instructions. I did just drive there to try to figure it out once we were there. It would have been nice if the email had been more detailed. Also, if you were planning on driving, make sure you message them. They can email you or send you a QR code on WhatsApp. You do have to get a new code every day. I had read about how difficult parking is in Sintra. We pulled up in front of the hotel where there were four spots sanctioned off. We were told it's OK to park there over night.
