stayed for a long weekend getaway. Had a beautiful room with king size bed. Awesome view of pool, beach, airport. 5 Minute walk to Sunset Grill, major casino, downtown stores, etc. Not one dissatisfying meal. Great selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks were always nearby, and plentiful. Even had some name brand beers stocked which isn't always the case in a caribbean all inclusive. Rooms were clean and well stocked with all necessities-even beer water, and liquor. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was checkin snafu that was confirmed multiple times over preceding 3 weeks prior to our arrival. They made it right, but, it was a bit of a hassle that had no reason to happen. Kudos to front desk/reception for solving it eventually.
We had the studio suit with our own porch right beside the pool and a. 1 minute from the beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you want peace and quiet it is nice until the planes take off as you are less then 100 yes the runway but we thought that was entertaining at times. The only negative was the restaurant. Service was slow and the food not so great.

The Villas at Simpson Bay is a great location for Seniors & families with children. The property is very well situated near the airport and offers a safe and secure environment. The staff is very courteous and eager to please visitors. The Concierge Desk was very helpful when it comes to making reservations at local area attractions. However they sometimes fell short when it came to simpler requests.
The property offers so much to do on site that you never have to leave the hotel. However the Villas at Simpson Bay is near to the capital ( Phillipsburg ) and offer shopping excursions to town. The pools and beach are great places to hang out for a relaxing day in the sun. I love the Beach Bar where they served great food and very cool concoctions. I also enjoyed the many places to eat ( especially Alexanders and Bon Apetit ) and listen to live music at the Red Piano. But just a short walk off the property brings you to more fun places for local cuisine and night life opportunities.
The hotel shares a parking lot with dunes casino and several little places to eat and is literally right next to the airport. The design is nice and it looks clean. I did not particularly like the bed, it was not very comfortable for me. I did love my balcony view and the pools where I would swim in while the sun was setting. There were however many mosquitos in my room every night, even when I thought I killed all of them for the night. I did spray insect repellant, but it just sucks to feel that layer of that stuff on you while you go to sleep. Driftwood bar is very close and I had done of the best fruity rum drinks there.
Was a large room with simple amenities. The bed was comfortable, and food was nearby. The only concern we had was the lipstick on the glasses in the room.
The adjacent restaurant, Toppers was slow, and the food quality was mediocre, with a general feeling of uncleanliness.

This hotel was built in either the late 1980's to early 1990's. The quality of the structure does not appear to be overly updated over the years. It however is very clean and taken care of. The elevators are suspect over the future and one of them was not working for 4 days of our vacation. Very nice people work here and are very friendly. They offer a get together on Monday afternoons. If you like to be addressed by local travel people selling their wares and services, then be there on time at 5:15pm. If you want to partake in the wine, cheese, and refreshments and not the sales pitches, then come about 45 minutes after the starting time. I would definitely vacation here again. Of course there were rude Americans and uncontrolled children there which does not bode well for a pleasant vacation at no fault to the Atrium. The natives love to party on their day(s) off and the beach can be quite noisy (music) on Christmas Day. It is not a private beach but a very nice one. The beach boy working for the Atrium was very helpful and good guy.
