"I would not recommend Extended Stay America Select Suites in Ocala, Florida. The place is very dirty in many aspects! First off, upon arrival, when checking in, the front desk attendant was very unprofessional. Taking our ID’s, she had no eye contact with us at all. There was no “Welcome to..”We proceeded to our room, once we arrived to the room, there was a very bad musty smell in the room. We had to get deodorizers, etc to kill the smell. The sheets were stained, we were only allowed 2 towels/washcloths for our week stay! When inquired for extras, we were told it would be an additional cost! Ok! We just paid $500 yo reserve this place. As far as housekeeping, they clean EVERY 2 WEEKS! Yes EVERY 2 WEEKS! We were offered a broom and dustpan to clean the floor. My husband found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. He called front desk and was told “at least it’s dead!” We were not told of the use of their laundry facility. Instead the front desk watched us walk out w dirty laundry and never offered to inform us of the services available there. On our 5th day there, we had about 5+ “live cockroaches” and decided to check out early. There was no inclination that this place was going to take the necessary steps to clean up the cockroach infested place much less clean the rooms more often! The microwave appeared to have some type of mold growing in it. We will blast this place to prevent others from this place and the horrible experience we had. It ruined our 1st vacation."

"We had a great stay here. The house was clean on arrival and is truly ideal if you're visiting Silver Springs with pets. The fully fenced backyard is huge, well lit at night, and gave our dogs plenty of room to run.A few notes for future guests: the inflatable soccer game in the yard is older but still usable, and the grill is no longer on the property. The living room is on the smaller side, so it’s not the best setup for a large group to gather around the TV, but that wasn’t an issue for us as we were there to enjoy the river. The kitchen was well stocked, though there were only two coffee cups — so bring extras if you need more. The fire pit area was a highlight, with plenty of outdoor seating for nightly fires and socializing.The location is excellent, just two minutes from Silver Springs, Shopping centers and multiple great resturaunts.The host was extremely communicative, answering every question within the hour. Overall, a comfortable, pet‑friendly stay with great outdoor space."

"Terrible experience. Beware. Room was clean, but no toilet paper in any of the units. She knew about us coming for weeks. I asked her days before to check in at 3pm. She had plenty of time to prepare. Only one towel in our unit. She told me she would send the cleaner to come. I didn’t want to wait. Called VRBO, got my money back thankfully from VRBO as a credit. She argued with me on the phone and lied to the agent as we were trying to resolve. Will not ever be back. You might have a better experience than we did."

"There is NO daily , nor ANY housekeeping. There is NO breakfast or coffee. There is NO people in the office. The room was just a concrete square with a bed, small table, 2 cracked and withered chairs. Bathroom is from 1960. The tub faucet never stopped running. We had one rill of toilet paper for 6 days, 2 people. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES! They do not show the truth of what you will get. The only good thing i can say is there are no roaches and no bedbugs. "
