Nice hotel but overall the service was very poor

Posted 12-May-2017
We enjoyed our stay but if you are looking for descent service this is not the hotel for you. The staff were a bit disorganised which translated in several bad experiences were we organised excursions and they had to scramble on the day to sort out the details. Had a scary experience with room service coming into my room and walking around.

Beautiful hotel and great location!

Posted 11-May-2017
We took a room with balcony and it was great. Room was very spacious, bright and nice. Breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Hotel is conveniently located with 2 supermarkets across the road (left and right), travel agent where we booked our cultural dinner show and tour to the temples. It's walkable to the night market and pub street but it's more fun to just hop onto a tuk-yuk for $2/- Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Low Value for Money

Posted 17-Apr-2017
It is an old style hotel. With rude staff at the front desk who show us his face when we counter check the information he provided. Even worst was the same guy turned away from us when the time he supposed had to notice us about the arrival of airport transfer car and we had to verify by ourselves. The facilities of the room were another issue. Put aside that the room is much tinny than other lower stars hotels we had stayed in Siem Reap, their toilet fixtures were broken: shower and the door. Even though they tried to change a new one, we were shocked by the dirt inside the old pipe they opened. The bathtub was so small that only kids can fit in and it was with yellow stains on the surface. This was the most expensive one we have stayed, but one of the lowest standard we had encountered.

Conveniently located

Overall, very happy with the hotel. Staff were courteous, friendly and responsible. We were ill and stayed in bed for 2 days. Housekeeping was very proactive and came around to replenish bottles of water and coffee/ tea eventhough we didn't require any housekeeping services. Breakfast spread was pretty good. The only downside was the hotel being too nice and lenient on guests who slept on the lounge at the lobby area making it look like a backpackers' lodge. If they slept sitting upright it wouldn't have looked so bad but they were lying horizontal on a 3 seater lounge.

More like a 3.5 star

Posted 19-Feb-2017
Pros: See above.
Cons: See above. More accurate "star" level.
Location: See above.
Our experience was very average. We are well traveled so have a lot experience in many levels of hotels throughout the world. Cons: We arrived after 3PM (2PM check-in) and were told the room would not be ready for 20 minutes, yet when we asked for a late check out, we were charged for the extra hours. The walls were paper thin and we heard loud and consistent noises all night through shared walls and in the hall. The bed was rock hard with uncomfortable pillows. There was mold in the bathroom. We were supposed to receive an included breakfast and since we were going to Angkor Wat prior to breakfast time we were told we would have a "to-go" breakfast but did not receive. Pros: Walkable down town location with convenience store across the street. A tuk-tuk driver was always readily available. The people in Siem Reap were unfailingly kind and the staff at this hotel was no different. We were easily able to arrange a local guide through the front desk. Lovely wood floors but we could hear people walking in the room above.

Great location in Siem Reap

Posted 15-Feb-2017
Pros: Old world graciousness, friendly and helpful staff, large and comfortable room
Cons: can't think of anything.
Location: the temples. amazing.
Stayed several days to see the temples, and it was a wonderful experience. Prince d'Angkor was a lovely hotel right in the middle of things, with an easy stroll to get to a very vibrant nightlife downtown
