Room either too hot or too cold. Toilet making a strange noise whole time. Room was right by corridor doors which caused room door to shake every time that slammed shut. Air con generators on roof outside window loud all night. All in all really bad sleep for a superior room.

£10 for parking is extortionate! The leisure centre had the most dirtiest changing rooms I have ever been in. The lockers were dirty inside amd rusty. The floor was all wet. Will not stay again.

Over priced, wasn't Impressed with having to pay an additional £10 for the car park, pool had far to much chlorine in it it made your eyes sting, very noisy as it didn't have double glazing, you could hear the rooms water & tvs either side of you. Lovely building but needs improving and very over priced

A was a little underwhelmed if honest. Front desk staff were great, others not so. We were practically barged by a member of staff coming through a doorway. The bedrooms and hallways looked a little tired. And attention to detail, such as mouldy grout around in the shower. Plus the shower leaked into the bedroom carpet. It was okay I suppose we only had to stay one night. Breakfast was tasty!

Very dated and worn. Could not put dinner tab on my room, had to pay seperately. Conditioner in bathroom was empty and noisy aircon unit directly outside my window. Terible view, sure other rooms are better though? Good parking for the car.

Give it a miss. There are nicer places in Telford.
The stay was ok. The bathroom was dirty, there were stains on the sheets and the general service was poor. We ordered vegetarian sausages at breakfast, reminded them after 20 minutes and when they came out a further 10 minutes they were not cooked in the middle.

Awful stay!!!
I was very disappointed with my stay. The room was freezing cold and apparently the heating was on a time switch and should of come on at 4.30pm which in the midst of winter is totally unacceptable, we returned in the evening to a still very cold room and had to pack our things and move to a different room. My sister who I was with has COPD so it really wasn’t good for her health!, We were looking forward to a meal in the restaurant after our return from the funeral we attempted only to find that the restaurant was in fact closed although we enquired on arrival what time the restaurant closed and were told 10pm. So we had to eat in the bar. I ordered an Irish coffee and it never arrived, the barmaid put her coat on ready to head off and I asked her where was the Irish coffee and she said that she forgot it. So I wished I hadn’t made a reservation at that particular hotel because there were several others in that location that I could have chose, and wished I had. When we were moving rooms in the evening there was a distinct smell of Weed/cannabis in the corridor and was told by one of the staff that it was quite a regular thing.

The room wasn't to a great standard. Not what you would expect from a Mercure. The room smelt funny and the noise from the road easily came through the single pane window which evidently didn't have adequate ventilation.

We reported the beside lamp defective to reception, it may have just needed a new lamp, we had a 3 day stay and it still wasnt fixed when we left. There was only 1 chair in our room despite there being 2 of us and ample room for a second. The prices in the bar are "extortinate"- wont be drinking in there again.

Staffed by kids apart from breakfast time, which was the only pleasant thing about my stay. Rooms at the front are lit up like a Christmas tree and the windows are poorly fitted. So very noisy. Pool cannot fit more than three people in, So if the regulars are in, you've no chance

On arrival the room was cold and the TV did not work. The TV was sorted after about an hour. The food in the dining room did not match the description. Out of four main courses chosen by our group, only one was finished - the other 3 left most of theirs. In the morning there was no hot water in the shower. Walking from the car park to the hotel, an area of the paving close to the entrance was dangerously broken up making it difficult for pedestrians with cases. I had a letter to post (already stamped) and asked at reception if they could post it for me. I was told that there was no postal service but the Post Office at W H Smith was 'just across the road'. 'Just across the road' turned out to be a quarter of a mile across difficult roads, through a large car park and a myriad of shops. It was not a happy stay. As we were attending a funeral early in the morning, I regret that with other things on our minds, we did not complain to the hotel staff. Despite my dissatisfaction detailed above, the hotel staff gave a warm greeting and our waitress was very pleasant. I would not however wish to book this hotel in the future.

We were checked-in by Aleksandra. She assigned a room with a very good view. The price of the drinks were cheaper than other hotels. Food was good as well.

Happy customers
Really good stay, lovely comfortable and clean room with spotless bathroom, excellent shower and such nice toiletries that I’ve found them online and bought some! Smart, polite and helpful staff especially Steph on reception and Helen in the dining room at breakfast. Sadly the bar staff were not as helpful and too just polishing glasses to serve customers in a very busy bar but I guess you can’t have it all. We will definitely be staying here again our next trip to Telford.

Bad nights sleep
Great staff, plenty of parking, clean room, good service, lots of facilities, nice to have a pool and gym, the whole nine yards. Sadly the building seems to have no soundproofing. Noises from doors closing, people talking, footsteps, general activity, made it really hard to have an undisturbed nights sleep. I'd happily recommend a stay here as long as you're happy with some earplugs

Lovely hotel with clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Easy walking distance to shopping area and Telford International Centre. If you want to dine in the hotel, remember to book. We didn't and had to walk to find somewhere else.

A ccomfortable hotel with excellent breakfast.
The room was dark when we arrived and it took some time to work out which switch operated the main light. Room comfortable, bed very good. Dinner in the restaurant was poor and seemed to have been standing for some time. Breakfast, however, was excellent, one of the best buffet breakcasts I have had. Generally good.
