Excellant stay but also dissapointing
Our stay was very good and the staff were brilliant, i was surprised with the changes that had been done, gone were the areas of cosiness and in place was a large quantity of similar chairs, lacking comfort. It has definitely been changed for the worst, dissapointing.

lovely weekend in Stratford/Warwick
lovely hotel food and service was great and good value for the money evening meal was great so was the breakfast the room was a lovely size plenty of space and a good view onto the countryside lovely one night stay we will stay again.

Comfortable, spacious room, excellent breakfast, good service, excellent position for Cotswolds, Stratford & Warwick. Very enjoyable stay - 5 nights Could improve IT links, more secure connections would also help.

We have stayed here on many previous occasions and still find it good and comfortable. Now that we own a electric car, it's a pity they have removed their charging point! The breakfast is still excellent (no fried bread though!), and the staff are all friendly.

Stayed in a chalet which was dated, had stains all over the carpet and chairs. There was no cold water for some reason and the response from staff wasn’t brilliant.

We are sorry you were disappointed in your stay - we were fitting a new boiler to our chalet rooms and had a few teething problems - and were very full that time so had to put some guests who booked later on in our older rooms.We can only appologise and hope to see you again - next time please request for a room in the Kings or Courts blocks, which are more modern.

Perfect hotelfor guests with no regard for others
Guests in the room above me had an all night party. The floors were so thin that I could clearly hear individual conversations and constant walking up and down (although the party-goers could not hear my pleas to allow my 7 year old daughter to sleep). I could only reach the hotel’s voicemail and as far as I can tell no one was on duty to help. In the morning the receptionist rather unhelpfully told me that someone ‘should’ have been on duty

Hi John,We are sorry for the inconvenience during your stay. I had spoken to the manager on night duty and we discovered we actually had an issue with our phone system that night unexpectedly. This issue is now fixed. Whilst I can understand your frustration, I hope you can understand that we have our guests best interests at heart and always have someone on night duty for help, but unfortunately this issue has never happened before so we were unaware of the situation, however moving forward we are triple checking the issue does not happen again.

We have stayed here many times and never had any issues but I can safely say we won’t be staying again. Check in should be till 10 o’clock, when I phoned the hotel at 8.15pm we was told if we wasn’t there by 9 o’clock we wouldn’t have a room. When we arrived we were told the room we had booked in the main hotel wasn’t available because they had turned the heating off in the building due to cost of living. We was also told that the hotel bar and hotel would be closed at 9 o’clock and the receptionist said have you got a torch because you will need one to get to your room. We was then told that we would have to walk up the side of the busy main road look for a gap in the hedge as our room was in the court yard, we also had to climb over a small wall to get to the gap in the hedge. We was also told that their wouldn’t be a breakfast service as there was not enough guests and it wasn’t worth the chief coming in, also the outside light didn’t, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Overall our stay wasn’t very enjoyable at all.

Thanks for your comments - the period over New Year was particularly difficult for us, being incredibly quiet. We had closed our larger accommodation blocks due to energy costs, and were therefore unable to upgrade you from our older, outside rooms. We are in the process of improving these rooms now our main accommodation blocks are open.Sorry we had stood down our breakfast chef for the morning - like you, all guests had booked room only that night, and had not let us know on check-in the night before that they had changed their mind.

Excellent, no fuss Stay
Lovely ladies on check-in, despite one being "on training" to work front desk there was no delay or frustration. Room is well equipped and functional. Nice clean bathroom and a quiet nights sleep. Excellent choice to stay for events in Stratford or in our case for The Game Fair at Ragley Hall

Positive: food was decent, service was quick, staff were very good. WiFi was ok. Negative: room was very shabby, and desperately in need of redecoration. No air-con. Feeble shower. Room reeked of industrial quantities of 'air freshener' which was slightly nauseating.

Lovely hotel
Clean comfortable room. Inrequested a quiet roomnand this was provided. The buffet breakfast was lovely. I've had other meals at this hotel on previous stays and the food was very good. Lovely hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is a little out of the way which is fairly evident from a map when booking the hotel. Overall, its a reasonably good hotel for the price. As I've been there a few times, it would be good if they didn't charge me for a slightly later checkout (12 midday rather than 10am on a Sunday when there were relatively few people there and the clocks just changed to lose 1 hour) ;)

Good Quality Rooms, Spoilt by lack of staff.
Very comfortable, clean, well equipped and spacious bedroom. Hotel seemed to be understaffed with no staff on reception (had to telephone for reception staff, with no reply, so had to find a staff member to check in). Booked for breakfast and was then informed of two times when I could come down to eat.

We had a very short one night stay but as far as we could tell the hotel seemed nice and clean. Staff welcoming. Our room was clean, nice bedding towels etc. Toilet hard to flush. Lovely dark curtains so could sleep in but the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable for me personally and the Pillows too hard. Receptionist did say she would make a note and maybe the mattress needed replacing. We would probably stay again if we can't get our usual hotel when visiting family in the area. . Breakfast was plentiful and acceptable. Lovely coffee, and fresh yoghurt. Bacon little dry though.

Should have realised when the receptionist was happy ro put us second to her conversation in the office just what our stay might be like. We were asked for card details to be charged in the morning. I explained we had paid in advance and showed the confirmation but still had to give the card detail. Wish I hadnt really and that we had just driven home. We had a busy day and just wanted a relaxing evening. Felt we should have been informed that their pub was hosting some parties. Even though the room was the otherside of the car parking you could feel the thumping of the base. It was so warm in the room we tried to open the windows but at that point we could hear every song and every word. Fair play in getting the business, but common decency says at least tell us it was going until midnight. The room was okay, bed was comfortable but will choose more carefully in future. Happy to be gone in the morning and will not be back.
