Nice, quiet hotel. Rooms are small with not a lot of space. About 10 minutes walk to main shopping/resturant/entertainment hub of Shinjuku. Train station is 15 minutes walk away - might be a little far away for some. We arrived late at night to the train station and got a taxi to the hotel for 1080 Yen because we had a lot of luggage. Staff speak pretty good English and were very helpful and attentive to our needs.

"Excellent location!"
The hotel being in Shinjuku, you're in the center of train stops/stations. Thus, it's very easy to go to different places around Tokyo. Not to mention it's very close to authentic bars and restaurants! I highly recommend this hotel!

Pocket Guide: Nakano Shinjuku Ascott Hotels

This sprawling business, commercial, and entertainment center never lets up. It is a modern Japanese phenomenon with shopping arcades, flashing neon signs, stand-up noodle bars, and side-street video screens. Some two million people pass through the train station alone. Futuristic-looking City Hall offers a free observation deck with great city views.
