"It was a very good stay and I cannot complain for the value and what is offered. It is just an old and outdated hotel but the stay was pleasant and I would stay again. For the price it can’t be beat. It was clean and the service was great. Having said that, they appear to be doing renovations. "

"Very friendly and helpful host and staff. The place is brand new and has all the amenities of highest standards. It's very clean too. You won't be disappointed.
It is very close to the shore and in a quiet neighbourhood. Well, the whole Ooma was very quiet :)
Although via text messaging, the communication with the host was quick and efficient. We highly recommend Yoridokoro..."

Hakodate Kokusai Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"The room is very outdated and doesn’t look like their advertised photos at all. The lobby is located in the newer building but the room they put us in was actually in an older building. Everything inside the room was very old with strangely bad smell. There was strong cigarette smell inside the elevators. I wish the hotel could been more honest and done a better job at disclosing their current room conditions so customers know what they get themselves into. Please do your own research before booking this hotel."
"The hotel is a bit worn out and there weren’t much dinner options nearby. But the onsen and the breakfast was amazing!! If you are driving or traveling light I would highly recommend global view hotel :)"
"Great location with easy access to major sightseeing spots. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options such as fresh seafood, noodle soup, traditional Japanese breakfast dishes, and some Western-style meals as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here."
Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Umi to Akari / Hewitt Resort
8/10 Good
"The room was roomy. But the bed was a little hard for us. Food was great with lots of seafood, however, we stayed 3 nights and the food every night was almost the same. "
"Property is severely outdated and not well maintained. Looks to be late 60’s/early 70’s. We booked last minute and got the last room so it was not traditional Japanese. However the room was HUGE. It came with a separate living room. We enjoyed having so much space but again the furniture was very old. The hot springs were great but no there is no attendant. So if you don’t know the customs you might embarrass yourself. This place is used regularly by locals. The dining experience was interesting. It’s served “Viking style” meaning buffet. It’s a large open cafeteria setting. Not something I’m used to but I rather enjoyed it. Not much to do unless there’s snow. Theres a small ski lift a minute away."
