1) Terrible service, stayed for 9 nights through Christmas and New Year, service staff were pompous and even scolded us for returning their bike late (I. E. Because we lost our way) in front of other guests and threaten us with late charges, they could have said it in a nicer tone. Other staffs were also dismissive and could be seen talking to one another and laughing. Worst way to have spent honeymoon, Christmas and new year. On top of that, due to holiday season we paid twice the usual room rate. 2) The number 4 and 13 are big taboo in our culture, but the service staff place us in room 13 on the 4th floor. Which is situated right at the corner at the back of the hotel. On top of that, the Feng shui of the room is very bad, the bed is facing the door, mirror and toilet. In addition, the window is behind the bed. 3) We got lost on new year's eve and could not get back to the hotel, so we spent a night somewhere else. We sent a message to the hotel to inform them about it just in case anything happen to us, they reply us 3 days later after we have checkout. 4) It is not a convenient location. It takes at least 10 minutes to walk to the nearest train station and 2 stops away from Kyoto station. It is also not a very centralised location to travel to other Kansai region. Better to stay nearer to Kyoto station. Not worth the money paid.

The staff was excellent. Helped me more than a average staff usually do, (directions,attractions,calling a taxi, best routes etc) and really made the environment warm and welcoming. Everything is new, modern, and spacious for Japan. The lounge is an excellent place to pass some time when you are back from adventures. The restaurant staff made some great food, and is also very nice.

Super clean (like all of Japan) and very nice rooms...not huge but very comfortable. Comfortable beds and nice linens Great water pressure in the shower and a nice breakfast if you elect to buy it. Location is good as well. Really no negatives..would stay here again for sure.

Definitely stay here

This hotel far exceeded all my already high expectations! Having access to all the other properties was incredible as was our super spacious room. Location was perfect to walk virtually anywhere. the breakfast buffet was next level!
