Awful!!!

Posted 13-Sep-2017
This was the dirtiest hotel I have EVER stayed at. Ants in the shower, hair on the bedding and towels, looked like drops of blood on the curtains and pillows. Wasn't sure if the elevator was going to go up or down or fall through the floor. Guy running the restaurant was rude as ever, to everyone! No coffee or newspapers in the lobby. Every hallway smelled like pot smoke or heavily scented air freshners covering it up. The housekeeping room on the eighth floor has been broken into and I am not sure how they re locked it? Trim along the edge of the room was all coming off. Awful place!

The hotel was very run down. It didn't even look like they were trying to make it look better. The outdoor pool was green, and the indoor pool looked terrible. Our first room was not cleaned properly, there was still food under the bed side tables and the bath tub had not been cleaned. The room they moved us to was not much better, all the furniture was searched and dingy. Our first night there was a fire alarm at 12am, we had to take 11 flights of stairs to the lobby. And when we tried to ask the woman working the front desk what was going on, all we got was "someone must be smoking in their room, it ok you can just go back up". She was very rude, and every time I tried to talk to her she looked very annoyed that she had to talk to me. Another guest and I had to force her to wright down our information for the manager to call us the next day, which didn't happen. I had to go down myself the next morning to talk to some one.

Bait and Switch

Posted 01-Sep-2017
Pros: Clean hotel
Cons: Replace staff! Add microwave to rooms
Location: Off highway enough not to hear interstate noise
Worked out reduced rates with management for our company, upon arrival, staff would not honor reduced rate. Staff was very snotty, rude, and unwilling to correct issue. Rooms were exceptionally nice and clean. No microwave in room. May be a fire safety issue, my room had sprinkler siliconed off, and lack of exit signs in common areas.

Just off the highway

Hotel was a good stay for the price. Pool needs some work. Smelled musty and the water was not clear. Better cleaning around deck would also be good. Breakfast was really bad. The hot portion was the worst part. The continental cold foods were ok and the coffee horrid. The room on the other hand was clean and comfortable!!! And the hotel staff were amazing. Great hotel just needs new breakfast and a little more care of their pool.

Door wouldn't work twice and had to get someone to open door for me when I checked in after a long car journey. Apparently there was some funky trick to open the door... I've been to many hotels and never had to use any funky tricks to open a door... and they've all opened perfectly fine.

In need of renovation ASAP

Started with a terribly slow check in. Ten people in line at 5:30pm and one clerk. Hotel was just very run down looking inside and outside. Will make a better choice next time in the area.

Nice place - Better Price!

Posted 18-Aug-2017
Don't pay attention to all the negative reviews. After reading them I was pretty apprehensive about book here. But you honestly have nothing to worry about. It seems like they are in the middle of rebranding, and doing some work on the property. That said the room was clean. The bed in our room seemed a little older (no plush pillow top mattress), but more than adequate. They do have a few funny policies - namely about the towels. But why does anybody need more than a couple towels in a room? I don't know...what some people's fuss is about.

Good is what you paid for

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Just completed a 3 day stay at Ramada, and I would say my stay was "good," which is exactly what I paid for. I read the reviews prior to booking and was almost scared away. But I think most people who were negative were looking to pay a very reasonable price and then expecting a 5 star experience. I interacted with at least 8 members of the staff, and each one was very pleasant. Reviews of the rooms are fair in that the pictures are a bit misleading, there is some need for updating, but it was a "good" clean room. One aspect management could very easily address is simple vacuuming of the lobby areas, there were crumbs and general need for "tidying" up, but I didn't see a vacuum in the 3 days stay. Again, a "good" stay for a "good" price.
