We spent a Monday to Friday break with Gilly and Gary at the Bedford Lodge and found them to be excellent friendly hosts. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, lovely and clean, with a nice personal touch. It's location is perfect for making the most of a stay in Shanklin. There was a varied breakfast cooked and served to order and nothing was too much trouble. The honesty bar was also a nice touch. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great stay
Excellent, lovely gardens, homely feel to the property. Ample parking, great location, very good breakfast, attentive staff. On downside the WiFi was very intermittent and kept dropping out, our room was quite noisy from late afternoon to late evening as it was close to another hotel garden where people were sitting and drinking.

Great location although hotel B&B, breakfast is a WOW factor, there are plenty of eateries around the area all very good. The hosts Gilly and Gary looked after us very well could not fault our stay (5 nights), would very highly recommend. 5 stars brilliant.

Exceptional place to stay
This was our third visit to the Isle of Wight and without doubt the best place we've stayed in. Comfortable, relaxed, friendly, great breakfast and a great location in the old town of Shanklin. Can't recommend it highly enough. Would definitely stay there again.
