The corner room offered a fantastic view of the city, especially the Bund. The light goes up at 6pm and it’s well worth the money. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was served either in the lounge or on the third floor and there were plenty of choices including both Western and Asian dishes. The hotel was conveniently located right next to Nanjing Road (a five-minute walk) in a busy and vibrant part of the city. Overall, the hotel was lovely but check-in and check-out were quite slow and the lift was unbearable. It was incredibly slow, taking about three to five minutes to travel between floors. This was a deal-breaker for me. I confronted the front staff and they advised they can not move to another room with a window as it is not fair for the next guest. So it’s ok for them but not me does not make sense at all! Also, there is no parking or hotel entrance. You get dropped off on the street pull your suitcases up 2 2-3 steps and need to show your reservation to security and they send you to the 7th floor. Highly wouldn’t recommend.
