Cheap hotel close to pudong airport

Room was well appointed but no window! Otherwise everything fine. Good breakfast. Can't complain about anything for $au60 a night. Make sure to take the hotel's shuttle bus from airport and avoid ripoff "taxis".

    Strong Smoke and Urine smell.

    1. Strong smoke smell in the room! Although it said "No Smoking Room", the smoking smell is so strong that my kid felt very uncomfortable, especially for her eyes. The hotel also provided matches and ashtray. After asking front desk, we were told there were no extra room available to switch. 2. It smells like urine especially the side next to bathroom. The stuff told us there is some problem with toilet pluming. Other tips: 1. Shuttle bus is 1 hour each, please call hotel to confirm gate. It is about 20 mins each way. 2. Breakfast is more like Chinese type, no much option for western visitor. 3. Located in a small town where has mostly nothing around the area. Do not expect beautiful view of modern Shanghai. Advantage: stuff are nice. Overall, you either paid 1500 RMB for Ramanda hotel as I did last night or paid around 600 RMB for this one. If you are not rush to Airport, should consider somewhere else. I won't live in this hotel again.

    Pros: Stuff are nice.

    Cons: Room cleaning.

Location: There is a small super market on the first floor.

    Nice room - dreadful breakfast

This is a typical big Chinese, slightly old fashioned hotel. I stayed here for one night because I had an early flight in the morning. My room was fine, comfortable and clean. The rest of the hotel also seemed well maintained. It should be noted that the hotel is a good twenty minute bus ride from the airport. My only complaint was the breakfast which was one of the worst I have ever encountered. There was a big range of dishes on offer but the food was very poor and much of it very greasy.

    Lihao Hotel Shanghai

I emailed the Hotel twice about a pick up from the International Airport in Shanghai. No body came. I got ripped off paying for a taxi, charged me 4x the proper cost. It is not a Hotel set up for Westeners, as they don't have good English.
