飯店前就有公車站牌(Palace Hotel 前),自箱根湯本搭登山巴士即可抵達,但飯店的網站沒寫清楚(或沒更新),下錯站就得要走些山路了!!

Quiet retreat

Posted 16-Aug-2016
The Palace Hotel Hakone offers good views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji on a clear day. It is accessible by bus, and close to Togendi where you can take the Lake Ashi cruise and the Ropeway, but a bit far from shops, restaurants and some attractions likethe Open Air Museum. Our room was luxurious and spacious with two comfortable queen beds, a sofa, a writing desk and chair, and a dining room table with four chairs. The wifi was fast. The bathroom came with amenities by Sheido. There was a problem with the bathtub drainage, resulting in some flooding. The hotel staff was very apologetic and responsive. They investigated and resolved the issue as quickly as possible. Overall, the staff was helpful. They took care of the luggage before check in time and brought the luggage to our room while we were out, provided info about the local attractions, and even printed a couple of e-tickets for me. I would stay here again.

Gross bathroom, in desperate need of upgrade

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Totally overpriced at $350 per night. Cracked tiles in bathroom, black mold (?) around bathroom door, toilet flush, decades old carpet, very far from Hakone town or Gora, no other dining options. Never again!

Too expensive but good hotel

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Pros: Views
Cons: Nothing
Location: Golf course
At $250 per night it was expensive. There are no local restaurants nearby so forced to eat in hotel which was extremely pricey. Otherwise very good hotel

Absolute Katastrophe...Nie wieder

Posted 14-Jul-2016

No longer out date just run down

Posted 21-Jun-2016
Pros: The staff was friendly and tried to help with any issue you brought to their attention.
Cons: Renovate the hotel and replace the existing cooling system for starters.
Location: Location is well severed by the T Line bus but there is no where nearby to buy food or eat at a restaurant.
We check in on a Friday afternoon. The room smelled of smoke or the attempt to cover up smoking. Good news it smelled better than the hall way. By late after noon the room temperature per the hotel's thermometer showed 27 C. The next morning I asked the desk clerk if the AC was working. I was told they were changing the Heat over to AC today -- a Saturday in the middle of summer tourism season. From this point on we left the windows open because most often it was cooler outside than inside the room. If you read TripAdvisor you will note the AC problem goes back to at least 2014. The pool is empty of water and the tennis court is locked. I will add that the tennis court has things growing on it so I have to assume it hasn't been used in a long time. The from of the building is being re-painted and one has to hope they will repaint the sides and back. There were a total of two places to plug in devices and one of those was in the bathroom. No USB ports and therefore recharging electrical devises is a game of switching one device for another. Bathroom facets were clearly dated and old but they worked. As for food I will let others speak for the pricing -- we caught a bus to a Lawson's for dinner our first night. I took the time to write this as my first review because I believe the hotel is clearly over rated. Please note, this was our 7th stop: 2 Airbnb & 4 other hotels in Japan plus travel to 28 other countries.

Good for one night

Posted 17-May-2016
Cons: Need more power socket.
Transportation to the hotel is easy but takes time. Restaurants in the hotel are quite expensive actually but there are no restaurants around the place so make sure you dine first before checkin if you care about that. Rooms in the hotel is big and comfortable. WiFi is fast with no disconnection. Power socket are hiddened under the window made me search for some time and doesnt quite convenience to access.

Vue sur le Fuji depuis l'hôtel.

Posted 11-May-2016
