"Hotel provided a reasonable continental breakfast with yogurt parfaits, muffins, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice, bagels, fruit, instant oatmeal, and cereal bars. Muffins included bran muffins but bagels were all white with no whole grain varieties. Fruit provided was in syrup - no fresh fruit. Unfortunately, they did not have any tables to eat at; you had to take you food back to your room (multiple trips) or you could sit on the two chairs facing the front desk in the middle of traffic flow. Rooms looked very new but definitely designed for single people. Only one luggage holder provided; very little space in bathroom for anything around the sink; towel bar was too close to the sink and there was only one hook for towels and clothes. Shower had full range of temperature though flow was a bit weak. No place for personal soap in shower. There were no coat hangers provided. Lights on side of bed required standing to turn on/off. Bed was very comfortable. Nightstands on both sides of bed were adequate and appreciated. Chair provided was comfortable but again only handled one person. There were no USB chargers on desk, Had to run cords from side walls to get power. Was able to stream movies from laptop to TV using HDMI2 connector. A/C did not cool very well and when running blew curtains away from windows - I brought a clip and clipped them shut. Nearby restaurant (1841) was good though a bit expensive. CheetahB's also good and a bit less expensive."

"We loved this Pet friendly, rustic restored farmhouse set in the mountains of west virginia. So quiet and peaceful. Very well appointed with the modern convieneces of home: lovely tiled shower with plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a great meal. We enjoyed relaxing and reading a couple of books from the bookshelf on one rainy day and played scrabble from the selection of games available. The TV was set up with prime movies and Netflix, and we streamed music from the Bluetooth speaker.We loved sitting on the back porch In the morning, listening to the sounds of nature and watching a.couple deer feed at the apple tree. Close proximity to dolly sods, blackwater falls, cannan valley. Several great places to eat. We recommend the Ish Kitchen at the Billy Motel. Delicious global food, deserts and drinks. Reasonably priced. The purple fiddle and Happy and More in Thomas by the river. Cannan Valley Barbecue was great as well. The Harper Place is wonderful for just relaxing or adventure."

"I’ll keep it simple. Cabin is AMAZING!! The walk to the river is very tiresome as it’s down a very steep hill. While very secluded from other properties I was surprised to see that there is more than one structure on this property. The description didn’t really mention it, and the pictures seem to “hide” it. However; no one was staying in the other house on the property but if someone was there, you would lose all privacy at that point. Loved the mountainous views and the river is beautiful!"

"Nice, very secluded getaway. The only issue we had was the grass was a bit overgrown and got wet shoes walking back and forth to the fire pit."

"It was a wonderful setting for a family weekend in the mountains. Danica communicated promptly and everything was comfortable and welcoming. Loved the patio where we ate breakfast outside watching the fog lift off Seneca Rocks each morning. Dogs are welcome and lots of room for them to run and play. Quiet setting with privacy and no noisy road or neighbors. Creek was beautiful and we enjoyed a night roasting hotdogs by the fire. Planning on coming back again!"

"The house and stay was amazing, and it was everything we could have asked for a weekend getaway. The house is tucked away quietly in the mountains with peaceful views. It’s walking distance to the river and multiple hiking trails. The house is very clean (not a single issue), well kept, and has all the amenities you’d need. Tony is very helpful with check-in/check-out instructions and responds very quickly. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat."
