"My husband and I stayed here about three weeks ago for the first five nights of our honeymoon. Rita and the rest of the family were so welcoming and truly went above and beyond. "Pros: Alles in einem war das Chalet Perfekt! Die Aussicht, die Lage und vorallem die Ruhe rundet die super Ausstattung der Chalet‘s ab. Cons: Da der Preis sich doch im oberen Segment ansiedelt, hätten wir wenigstens etwas an Standard Lebensmittel die zur Verfügung gestellt werden erwartet. Damit meinen wir eine kleine Packung Kaffepulver, etwas Öl und Salz/Pfeffer. Eventuell ein kleiner Willkommensgruß in form einer günstigen Flasche Wein würden die Ankunft noch besser machen!"

"The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!"

"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money equation. "
