The Green Line

Posted 19-Jun-2016
Pros: It was close to the beach and the famous cliffs. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: Some of the furniture is a bit worn.
Location: The beach esplanade is immediately accessible, as are several restaurants. There are cliffs at each end of the beach, with paths and stairs.
The hotel is just across the street from the beach. The staff were very welcoming and spoke English. We enjoyed watching other tourists, especially the crazy ones who stripped down to enjoy the sun when it came out! The town is very interesting, with some buildings of medieval style, and storyboards describe historical events in some buildings. it was a lovely town to visit, and the hotel was as expected. Most rooms face the sea.

The cheap rooms are a decent value at this hotel

Posted 25-May-2016 on Hotels
A decent hotel right on the coast at Etreat' France. We booked a cheaper room, so pictures on Hotels.com were a bit misleading, but I knew it going in. Parking was troublesome as the town was quite busy, but the staff gave great advice on how to manage the car. In the end it was a great stay and a good location, just didn't expect that the dumpster would be directly below our window outside and that was really the only real drawback to our room and stay.

Great, old, hotel!

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Great, old, hotel right on the water. Got a free upgrade to ocean view---well worth it. Highly recommend but skip the breakfast and go to a local restaurant instead.

Fantastic location but the parking is .....

Posted 04-Nov-2015 on Hotels
The hotel is well located by the boardwalk. However parking is a nightmare. The weekend we were there was a festival and we could not park close to the hotel until Sunday night. Do not take a room in the back of the hotel were their os a small amd extremely noisy small alley. The hotel needs a bit of TLC.

The hotel is right on the beach and our sea view room was overlooking the magnificent Etretat cliffs.

Very nice beachfront location. Lovely town.

Very happy with our stay. Etretat is an absolute gem. No wonder Monet loved to paint here. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast arrangements and food very nice. Great location for coastal walks, swimming and waterfronts. Recommend visit to Benedictine distillery in Fecamp.

I thought it would be better

Pros: Charm, staff and breakfast
Cons: A fan in the rooms
This is a charming old hotel right on the water front in the fabulous sea side village of Etretat. This makes it both good and bad. We were in a room on the first floor facing the town. We had to have the windows open as it was so hot. The room is very small. With the windows open there is much noise from the streets below as well as roosting seagulls which charming and romantic at first becomes quite tiresome as it goes on ALL night. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great.
