I was driving cross-country to move my car from FL to CA and needed to stop at various cities along the way. I had never been to Sedona, and the price was so good for a last-minute, late-summer stay, I couldn't pass it up. I booked a studio and found out when I arrived that I had been upgraded to a one bedroom. The property was nice, though a bit dated, and although the one bedroom I stayed in was clean, it did have a kind of musty odor to it. The upside was it had a full kitchen and a great balcony (there was a partially obscured mountain view from the balcony). It is a bit further from the main part of town, but honestly, it's completely walkable, especially in good weather. I also went to eat and drink at the bar and restaurant a couple of times and the food was alright (nothing amazing), but the staff there were nice.
My main complaint about this property is that it's a Diamond Resort timeshare. Upon arrival, they try to pressure you into a timeshare presentation by calling it a "tour of the amenities" - assuring you it won't take more than 60-90 minutes and that you'll even be rewarded with vouchers for restaurants in town or a Visa gift card. I had to say no several times and they were relentless. I avoided the lobby for the rest of my visit for this reason. They've now been calling me for SIX MONTHS trying to pressure me to come back for a "nearly free" visit to sit through another timeshare presentation. It's NOT WORTH IT!!! Stay somewhere else w/o a timeshare.
