Economical yet Comfortable Sedona Hotel
The hotel is clean, and decently located on the main strip in Sedona. They had a fridge and microwave which was a nice plus, we kept our water bottles chilled overnight.
First impression: the hotel itself looks like it used to be a sad motel of some sort from the outside; that was so disappointing driving in. However the rooms are completely updated. The bedding and carpets appeared clean and the room itself was comfortable. The shower was decently clean and I'm a pretty type-a clean person usually. Being in Sedona, I think my standards were lower because we're in the middle of the desert, and I spent my entire day hiking. I probably would have been happy with a hot shower and clean socks.
I'm not sure that it really is a "3 star" hotel, the Jacuzzi/pool were incredibly small, also directly in front of the parking lot/check-in office/right next to the main road... that was a bit odd to me. I didn't see the "gym" at all, I"m guessing it might be in the check-in/breakfast main office area? Can't imagine its much though. The website sort of advertised a good view of the red-rocks; the check-in staff said that there weren't really any rooms with "a view" but you could stand close to the window and look to the right and see them...
Overall - this hotel was perfect for what we needed; a inexpensive but clean place that I felt comfortable staying in. There was a safe, we didn't use it though; no problems with computers being left in the room.
