one can't help but draw comparisons
we have been to Fairmont SF for the last few years and were impressed so we thought we would use the same brand in Seattle. sadly whilst the hotel is undoubtedly impressive we were dissapointed. perhaps because when we arrived we, as a family of 6, had not been allocated adjoining rooms despite ringing in advance and making such a request. the receptionist was abrupt and explained that because we had used Expedia, this, in some way without expanding disadvantaged us. Thankfully the duty reception manager stepped in and allocated us adjoining rooms. Overall, very clean rooms, plenty of space, no view, weak showers, good gym machines, excellent beds, very quiet, noisy air conditioning which required us to batter the machine repeatedly. Stayed in worse, stayed in better. the stay was spoiled at the outset by the receptionist - such a shame
