The hotel is situated on a nice location, it's close to a lot of places you want to visit. Carmel by the sea is about 15 mins drive and about an hour drive to Big Sur. Places in the Monterey county is also just a short drive and the hotel itself is near the ocean. During check in, we were asked on which floor we wanted to be at, so we opted for the 5th floor and they gave us the sea facing room. It was a great stay, rooms are very decent and the breakfast was good too with a lot of choices. Not just your normal cereals and muffins breakfast. The hotel staff were very nice and assisted us when our keycards got deactivated for no reason, but it wasn't a big deal. Love this hotel and would definitely book this hotel again if I'm in the area.
We only wanted to stay one night, but the place is nice; the manager (Tina), vey friendly and customer oriented. The area is quiet after dark and never had any problems with neighbours. The rooms are clean and comfy and do not reek of tobacco smoke like other places we've stayed in before in the area. We hope it stays that way; this is the second time we have stayed there and there will be others.
I was in Monterey with my boyfriend to Scuba dive. We just wanted a safe and convenient place to sleep and rinse gear. The rooms are small but we don't spend much time in the room. There was a table and chairs which we like to arrange our stuff. We could tell that the rooms had been recently painted and the color scheme was nice. The bathroom screen had a big hole in it but, it was January so , no bugs. The manager was nice and he doubled as housekeeping. The parking lot is very small but, the motel wasn't busy, so we had a space.

This place was comfy and cozy. The room was spacious and the heat and air were great (something I always find is a hit or miss with hotels). I would definitely be making a return trip next time we need to stay in the area.
Hotel was good for a nights sleep. nothing fancy.I paid for two queen beds and got two double beds. The pool looks nice but we didn't get in. less than a 10 minute drive to the beach Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was friendly is there free breakfast was decent. I would stay again

To the south, the compact Monterey Peninsula Airport offers no-hassle connections to larger hubs such as San Francisco and Los Angeles. Drive 10 minutes east for racing action at Laguna Seca.
