An absolute fantastic stay. The staff just couldn’t do anymore to make our stay memorable. The only complaints really is the cost of breakfast & to park. At £24 per person the breakfast was way over priced and with a Wetherspoons literally 2 mins walk away then that’s where I’d be going next time. Also £40 to park the car. Again extremely expensive. Other than that a fantastic hotel a stones throw from the castle and everything Windsor has to offer

Loved it! Beautiful hotel in perfect location next to Windsor Castle! Comfortable beds, nice rooms, all the amenities including breakfast buffet! Staff were super friendly too. We loved walking around as tons of shops and restaurants next door and nearby.

Good venue. Parts of hotel looking tired and need some upgrades! Food average and overpriced! Some staff need to be more flexible! Rooms are main area needing maintenance!

Good points of the Hotel were: Clean modern room, and corridor areas. Quiet and very little disturbance. Large vestibule and bar areas. Complimentary breakfast. Bad points were: Coffee machine with no coffee pods. No seat for the shower area. Reception staff member prioritising their mobile phone over their customer whilst attempting check in...Very rude. Overall, a good Hotel in the heart of Windsor, with several slight improvements required. Four Stars....

The place looks like posh. So neat and clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. So convenient to train station, castle and shopping centre. One of the best hotels we ever stayed.

The breakfast service team were excellent - attentive and efficient. The concierge team were very helpful with my bags as I was in one of further away rooms that require a lift, steps down and then up to reach.

One night in Windsor was made a wonderful thanks hotel. Had flown straight into London Heathrow from Sydney. Arrived at hotel 7am. Inviting fireplace. Wonderful receptionist (Italian lady I think). Had breakfast in restaurant very delicious. Friendly staff. Warm and cosy room. Easy walk to Windsor Castle. Centred around good night life. Will most certainly stay again when I visit with my wife at Christmas. Great job and hats off to your team. Thanks.

Nice room with poor service.
No proper greeting from at rhe Hotel, didn't show to the room, or give any directions or information for the stay. Also got the room worh the window overlooking to some aircon pipes, despite asking for a room with the view.

Windsor hotel
Our mini break was amazing, all staff friendly & helpful. From the concierge who showed us where to park (although pricy at £39 per night) to the housekeepers. Sadly the castle was closed for deep cleaning, so we will have to return next year. Location of the hotel was perfect. In the heart of Windsor. We Would just upgrade the room as ours had a normal double. We prefer a king size bed.

Slow and not the friendliest check in experience, uncomfortable bed (two singles pushed together and felt I was falling down the middle!), overpriced food, and the coffee machine on the room didn’t work! On the plus side, the room was clean and spacious.

Perfect short stay in Windsor
Perfect location, centrally based to all the shops, restaurants and across from the beautiful castle. Staff were attentive and polite. We stayed NYE and despite there being a party at the hotel we didn’t hear a sound, it was so quiet. Lovely and spacious room. Ideal hotel for a short stay. To Note: if you are driving, parking at the hotel is £39 per overnight stay and you had to reserve a space. We instead parked in the ‘Yards Windsor’ carpark which is only a 5 minute walk and cost £24 for 24 hours. Would definitely recommend. Overall a perfect stay, thank you.

Great location and service
The Macdonald Windsor is in an excellent location next to the castle, shops and restaurants. My friends/family and I have stayed here several times because of the location location and service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, I only wish there were a few more updates and plugs available for devices. Overall we enjoy staying here when in Windsor and will be back.

Amazing !
Hotel was spotless clean and smelt amazing . Rooms were a lot bigger than expected and the bed was massive. Went to the Castro which is why we chose this hotel as the location was great. We had a meal the queen Charlotte which was lovely too.
