Numa Brighton Pavilion

Numa Brighton Pavilion

8/10 Good
"I am writing to formally log an issue regarding the complete lack of communication prior to my arrival. I did not receive any correspondence, PIN code, or room number on the day of the booking. I observed that I was not the only guest subjected to this operational failure, as multiple others were experiencing the exact same issue upon arrival. As I do not operate WhatsApp, I was forced to rely on the telephone number provided. My initial call went entirely unanswered. Upon my second attempt, there was an unacceptable delay before a representative finally answered the phone. While the concept of an unstaffed or contactless reception is understood in principle, the execution of providing access credentials was wholly inadequate. It remains unknown whether this breakdown in communication was caused by the reservation being processed via a third-party platform - specifically Expedia - rather than as a direct booking."

"Warm welcome. Convenient for the seafront. Great views. This room had a balcony with a view of the sea. Very comfortable. Breakfast room has been renovated and is much brighter and more welcoming while keeping a nod to the decor of the pavilion. We’ll stay here again."

"Decent and practical hotel in a great location. I ate breakfast on only one of my two mornings - it was good (although bacon was undercooked). You are now providing poached eggs which is particularly welcome. Shame about the fire alarm at 3.15am on Sunday night - although because the weather was warm it was a cheery communal hour outside. Overall, I would use IBIS again."

"Once again staying at a Holiday Inn Express and their air con was ‘temporarily’ not working - the one in Portsmouth has been temporary for about three years! Other than that great"
