With the magnificent, oceanfront Bluff Trail across the road and Stengel Beach within a short walk, this home is both a serene and memorable escape on the Northern California Coast. Enter by way of a garden courtyard, an enclosed space where you read and sip your coffee in the mornings, grill in the afternoons, and find sun and shelter if the bluff-top winds pick up. The interior has a split-level floor plan, with the bedrooms on the wings to the left and right and the main living area straight ahead. Admire classic Sea Ranch style in the walls of natural wood, the inviting stone fireplace, and plentiful windows that frame the ocean, the meadow, and the wildlife that frequent both. Down a few steps from the living room are the ocean view dining room, the kitchen, and the wood-burning stove that sits between them. The kitchen is outfitted with ceramic dinnerware, natural wood cabinetry, and sleek stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher. At night, you can watch incredible sunsets, gather around the TV in the living room for a Netflix favorite, and retire to one of three bedrooms. There's an ocean view primary suite, a guest suite, and third bedroom with access to the adjacent hallway bathroom. Additional amenities include central air conditioning and free WiFi for your convenience. Both inside and outside is absolutely gorgeous. The place is super equipped with everything that you would need and more. We chose this house over other similar properties because it had air conditioning. While not really needed, it worked great. We enjoyed the large windows and ocean view. The path to the bluff trail was right at the end of the driveway, very convenient. The beds were very comfortable, and I appreciated that the bedroom furniture was quite stylish and modern. We used the wood-burning fireplace and it worked great. It was very thoughtful that a small supply of wood had already been brought in and was ready next to the fireplace. The house had an unfortunate ant problem, likely exacerbated by the fact that the main trash area was extremely dirty and even had a big bag of sugar split open on the ground. Seeing that many bugs definitely tempered the experience. Moreover the windows hadn't been cleaned recently so there was some objectionable bird material in between us and the gorgeous vistas. I also had to use an old broom to clear out dozens of spiderwebs from the interior courtyard. But the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were good and the architecture was really inviting. A beautiful three bedroom three bath house. Kitchen is well-appointed and the layout very conducive to a family retreat. The property is new to the rental market and there are a couple of things the owners could do to improve the experience. The view was amazing so it would be helpful if the windows were clean!
