Very warm welcome from Chris who had called us a few hours prior to arrival to establish if we would require a table for the evening as it was pretty busy he didn’t want us to miss out. First class service I thought.
Great hotel, food and drinks on offer were really good at fair prices too.
We used this hotel as a base for a visit to the Dalwhinnie Distillery a few miles up the road.

Thank you Kevin much appreciated and glad that you all enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon. Regards, Chris, Kim & all the team.
Hotel was excellant especially as they were still trading under tougher than necesary covid regulations.
Dinner and breakfast were delicious
Very good real ale on tap in Scotland was a bonus
Ideal location with superb views. Staff were friendly and helpful - food excellent! Lovely choice of beers and whiskies for the weary traveller. Will definitely look to stay again. Thanks to all!
Stayed 1 night in the hotel and was very satisfied with every aspect. The staff have done an excellent job of managing to welcome every guest and provide a service which is as close to normal as you might expect in the middle of COVID.
Very comfortable and clean. Staff did well under difficult conditions (pandemic) but service for evening meals was slow and erratic; the food was quite good - my lamb shank was well cooked but pathetically small and the following day's venison casserole was tasty but could have done with more meat. Breakfasts were excellent with faultless service.

Thank you Alison. We are working under difficult circumstances with a lot of new and extra procedures so service is slower in order to be safe, not just front of house but also in the kitchen. We are fortunate in that since opening we have been busier than expected which also has an impact on the service time.
Charming older hotel with restaurant and pub on ground floor in quaint village. Staff was super nice, when we discovered there was no lift, the clerk kindly helped us take our heavy luggage up the stairs. Pub & restaurant staff equally as courteous and helpful. Bathrooms have received recent updates including power-showers. Rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable - squeaky floors, but to be expected in an older hotel. Cute village - wish we'd have had more time to explore. Be sure to check out the Highland Folk Museum nearby (it was closed during our visit, but looked really interesting and will be recognizable to "Outlander" fans), and The Wildcat Centre (look around town for the colorfully painted cats hidden in plain sight for visitors to find - clue, you'll find one at the Glen Hotel!). Beautiful mountain views from parts of the village. Restaurant had a nice selection of local items and vegetarian options. Highly recommend!
It was an ideal situation for the Wedding we were attending the weekend we stayed.
Friendly staff, food very good and room spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was cooked well and more than ample.
Lovely hotel with great amenities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Would love to stay here again.
Greeted on arrival by the lovely smell of food being cooked and an extremely cheery and helpful lady. Upon entering the room my Wife was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the room, no dust on any pipes and zero sign of mildew in the bathroom. We ate in the bar in the evening and I had the sirloin steak which was extremely tasty and tender . My Wife had the Chicken on a bed of Haggis which she said was superb. Both the food and beverages are reasonably priced.
Bed was very comfortable and a good nights sleep was had.
Breakfast was made to order and served by attentive staff member and was delicious.
Would recommend this Hotel without hesitation.
Surprisingly good for a small hotel/ pub. Room was a good size and very well equipped. Spotlessly clean and a comfy bed, Good range of pub food at reasonable prices and a substantial breakfast with plenty of choice, Would happily say there in the future as ticked all the boxes
I was going to give this 4 stars but after the other hotels we stayed in afterwards I decided it to give it 5 stars as it was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in on our trip around the Highlands.
We had a large comfortable room with a kingside bed. There were two chairs (which is a rarity). The bathroom was clean and modern. We ate in the bar and the food was good pub grub. Breakfast was fine. The only downside was our room was next to the road so it was a bit noisy at times as we slept with the window open.
Stayed for only one night. Staff were very friendly and we had a really good evening meal and breakfast. Room was a good size and bed comfortable. The weather was great for September so able to sit outside in the sun for a couple of drinks.

Thank you Linda we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
A fun and lively inn, located in a quaint village inside the Cairngorm National Park, Scotland. We enjoyed dinner and drinks with the locals at the outside restaurant. The inside pub was buzzing with activity, but our room remained quiet. The staff was friendly and informative. The menu offered many Scottish favorites, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The room was a bit warm, but Scotland had record heat. No A/C in Scotland. We were able to open the windows. Highly recommended, I cannot wait to go back!

One of the best hotels in the Highlands. Warm welcome on arrival by staff and very accommodating throughout our 3 night stay. Pub and restaurant provide a great selection of food that is fresh and substantial. Room was fresh and very clean. Ideal location as a base to explore the area. We will definitely be back.
Perfect trip. Had stayed with family in Edinburgh for4 days. Had already decided yo to up to the Highland Wildlife park to see than any polar bear. We've been up to the Highlands on many occasions
My wife who is disabled found in difficult with stairs not a complaint , would like to have stayed longer but the stairs difficult good luck to the hotel
Great hotel, friendly staff, run by a family , who could not do enough for us , very clean ,good food , very good choice at breakfast ,lovely soft towels , and a big comfortable beds . Only downside was no comfortable chairs in the bar area .
I couldn’t have asked for any more. The hotel was in a gorgeous location, the room was spotless, the bed comfortable and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. I had a better experience here than in any 5 star hotel.
this was a stop gap between meetings warm and comfortable had good food

Nice hotel, OK food, cold room
Nice hotel and a huge room and big comfortable bed. Well decorated. Good welcome.
Food in the bar was average but fine for a nice bar.
Unfortunately our room was cold on arrival and through the night and guests were not able to set the temperature in the room. Staff were helpful but got cold through the night.

Absolutely lovely little hotel, with very friendly owners. Dinner was o.k., but very pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go again should the opportunity arise.
