Perfect place to visit with the family.

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: Family facilities. Ground floor, interconnecting rooms.
Cons: Some furnishings beginning to look a wee bit weary but rooms clean and tidy mometheless.
Location: Loads to do in the area. Strathspey Railway, Cairngorm Mountain, Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark Centre etc etc but there is also plenty at the hotel
Returned yesterday from another great weekend at Coylumbridge. Really can't fault the hotel, staff and facilities at all. We booked on a half board basis and the food was to everyone's choice. The Saturday evening buffet had a great choice, and breakfast offered anything anyone could ever ask for. The only (tiny!) gripe I has that was our decaffinated coffee supplies weren't replenished in the room for our second night but I had my own anyway so it wasn't really an issue. I know that had I rung reception, I would have been brought some.

It was a nice hotel but rooms and decor was a bit dated. There are lots of activities for kids to do but we only stayed one night which was not enough. Would definitely like to go back again. Dinner and breakfast buffet was nice, alot of choices. Swimming pool was a bit small but ok. Had a slide for kids.

Great hotel for a family holiday

Posted 09-Apr-2017
Pros: The breakfast buffet and dinner options at the hotel, were good and there was a nice friendly atmosphere. Mid-century ski lodge style quite funky
Cons: While I like the mid century ski lodge style of the hotel, the rooms and pool area could do with a little modernisation, not awful though
Location: Beautiful setting a little outside of Aviemore, with lots of tracks for walking and cycling
Lovely location, plenty to do, good food. If you have children the on site activities are welcome, and there is lots to do nearby too.

Excellent hotel for families

Posted 09-Apr-2017
Excellent hotel for families although could do with a facelift. Some parts of hotel are looking a bit worn. Staff are great very helpful and friendly. Rooms were good. We had a family room with a separate area for my daughter with bunk beds and her own tv. Lots of things going on for kids. Our package included breakfast and evening meal. Food was good. Would definitely be back.

Hilton Coylumbridge

Posted 07-Apr-2017
Booked three nights and left after one night. The room was extremely small for a family room, dirty, a cracked sink, chipped and scuffed woodwork and in poor condition. Hotel refused to change our room. Took my daughter to use the reception toilets on arrival but they were dirty and the smell was unbearable!! Not enough seating for guests in the evening. This hotel didn't feel like a 'Hilton' it was very scruffy! Hotel won't refund our two nights so we wasted £600 on accommodation staying in a different hotel. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. I couldn't wait to leave.

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Pros: I loved the setting and the fact that there was so much to do in and around the hotel itself.
Cons: The main entrance is a worry as it has sliding doors and it is too easy for children to open them and access the driveway.
Location: The hotel is near Aviemore which is within walking distance. It is set amongst some beautiful scenery
I took my daughters away for the weekend for their 30th birthday. We also had three of my grandchildren with us. We found everything to be first class. The Bistro staff went out of their way to make their birthday celebration an enjoyable and memorable occasion. The hotel is very family friendly and the facilities offered catered for all ages. The children loved the indoor play area and the pool. The food was excellent with variety of eating places to suit all tastes. Breakfast deserves a special mention and would recommend anyone to try the full cooked breakfast as it certainly does set you up for the day, with only a light snack needed at lunch time.

Woodland setting with excellent family facilities

Posted 06-Mar-2017
We visited in a very snowy week and the scenery was super. The hotel staff were outstanding, the food was excellent and the gentle entertainment in the evening was just right. However the absence of a lift was a problem for me. We asked for a quiet room and were offered the second floor. This was ideal but four flights of stairs were a struggle for someone with back problems. Also the stairwells and corridors are definitely looking a bit tired and in need of upgrade. However the rooms, tho quite compact, are adequate and the bathroom was fine with an excellent shower. Perhaps a softer mattress wd have been my choice too. Overall we had a lovely stay and will DEF be back. The staff were outstanding in their manner, service and attentiveness to our every comfort. I cannot commend them highly enough. Our meals were excellent too. The breakfasts had a super selection of hot food and our evening dinners were of a high quality. An excellent place for a few restful scenic days away
