Pleasant couple of nights away

Posted 09-Nov-2015
Location: The hotel is next to the seafront. There is a path that takes you onto the front and it is a very pleasant flat walk if you wish.
We had a very nice stay at this hotel recently. Nicely situated in a quiet area of Nairn it was ideal for a relaxing couple of days away. We ate in the hotel one night which was very good quality, nice surroundings and value for money. The Leisure facilities were good, clean and all areas - Sauna, Steam Room etc - working. They even had an outdoor hot tub looking out over the Cromarty Firth - very nice and a must try! The hotel is only a 10 minute stroll to find yourself in the centre of Nairn. Would stay there again.

Well worth a visit

Had a lovely family weekend A perfect place for chilling out or playing golf, walking, or just messing around with the kids in the wee pool if the weather is poor. Discovered the outdoor gym along the front which was a novelty and enhanced my exercise walk The old place is a wee bit tired but comfortable, friendly and clean.

Nice hotel - disappointing breakfast

Posted 03-Sep-2015 on Hotels
We had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. We did not use the gym or the spa but used the swimming pool which was nice. We had a nice dinner in the evening in the bar as the brasserie was full but we appreciated the team trying to accomodate us even if we had not booked in advance. The downside for me was the breakfast. We ordered poached eggs and they were too vinegary and way overcooked. It would have been better to order boiled eggs. The buffet was also very disappointing with a very poor variety of yogurts and fruits. We were glad it was included in our room rate as it was charged at £17.95 and was definitely not worth it.

Lovely large family room with separate kids bunk room. Lots of space. A bit wRm but window opened and temp moderated after a while. TV remote had no batteries when we arrived but soon rectified by reception. TV a bit small for such a large room but ok. Bedside lamps didn't work but other lights could be used instead. Great breakfast with very good service.

Hotel with character and overlooking the sea.

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: Comfortable, quiet and pleasant
Cons: Gym a little cramped
Location: excellent spot for Inverness, Culloden, castles, tours to Skye etc.
We arrived early before check-in, staff were friendly and helpful. The room surpassed expectations and contained a lovely 4 poster bed, and settee. The view from the room was beautiful and there was a path alongside the coast for walking. Food was enjoyable and reasonable. Setting was quiet and restful. Good location with a car to get to Inverness, and other attractions. The highlands are spectacular with really lovely views.

TV tuner ouy of date.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't watch my favourite tv programme on channel 5 USA. Freeview channels were reorganised a while ago but the hotel have not retuned the freeview reception. Annoying!!!
