Vagabond Inn Carpinteria, CA - Santa Barbara - South
6/10 Okay
"Parking was good.
One of the bed too closed to the AC.
You do not get the size of bed you booked.
That was a down, because I couldn't sleep.
The flow of the shower head was good.
It was clean."
"We were in town for my grandma’s memorial so needed a convenient stay in Oxnard. Front desk was so kind and gave us a complimentary upgrade. Clean rooms! It is next to a busy street, so I’d recommend ear plugs if noise bothers you. Not an issue at all for me since I always bring ear plugs for travel."
"The service is lacking. We stayed there 7 nights, and the maid service only came one time to clean our room. I called the front desk two times to ask for a cleaning and they said they will clean the room but they never came to clean the room, until I went into the lobby to speak to someone at the front desk to let them know that nobody has come to clean the room. So the lady at the front desk scheduled for our room to be cleaned and the maid service finally cleaned our room on the 6th day of our stay. The customer service is very much lacking here at this Staybridge. I don't think I will stay there again.
I also called the front desk on my last night there to request for a wake up call at 4:30am and the wake up call never came. Good thing I set my alarm on my phone."
"This was our second stay at this motel and I have to say it was as great of an experience as it was the first time. The owner is extremely friendly and went out of his way to ensure that our room was ready for us since we checked in exactly at 3pm. The motel is clean, comfortable and welcoming. There’s parking spaces directly in front of the room doors and you can usually catch a spot right in front of your room. The AC works great and is quiet. Anytime we’re in Ventura, this is the one and only place that we want to stay at because it makes us feel so at home. Though there are other comparable stays nearby, i definitely recommend you give this place a shot! It’s worth every dollar spent!"
