At the beginning the lady at the front desk was not very informed and they put us in a room too small and with stairs to go up. No good because we had 3 big bags and there was no person to hep us with our bags they also put us in another building not the one we booked for. But after persisting about this issue finaly they put us in the right room The place is nice if they put you in the right place. But it wasn't easy to get them to do so.

Thank yoiu very much for your review.Unfortunately, you did not describe the situation quite correctly. Through Expedia you booked the room type Standard Double Room, 1 King Bed, Non Smoking (Residence) with the request for the room to be made up with twin beds. The Residence is our annex building and there we only have one room where the beds can be sparated into twin beds. Unfortuntely, this room is on the top floor of the building which can only be reached by one floor of stairs. When you stated that you did not like the room because of the stairs I explained the situation. As an alternative I offered to upgrade your room to a Superior double room in the main building of the hotel, However you hesitated for a while because in this room we could not make up the beds as twin beds. After my third offer to change the room you finally agreed and we moved your luggage to the new room. As initially we gave you the the kind of room you orignally booked with the request you stated and then right away offered you an alternative when you did not like the room I feel that we did everything possible in order to make your stay a pleasant one.

An absolute gem. We had a wonderful stay in late March. The property is lovely, well cared for and perfectly located in the altstadt. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The front desk staff was incredibly attentive and helpful.

Fantastic stay in our favorite hotel in Salzburg. Staff were professional, accommodating, and the room was excellent. This is 4th time staying at this hotel - that tells it's own story - and we hope to return again. We give this hotel and staff 10/10 and only because we can't give them 20/10!!

This is my fourth visit. We are regular visitors to Salzburg and find that the hotel is convenient if you are driving in and out of the city. The staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are clean cosy and warm. The pool and sauna is an andded bonus especially in winter. We will stay here when in Salzburg. Thankyou

Chose this specific hotel because of location and most importantly to me that they had a gym. Unfortunately when we arrived they informed me the gym hours were 8am-10pm. May work for some people but most workput early in the morning like myself so for our entire stay (4 days) I had to exercise outside which was fine but I wouldn't have chosen this particular hotel for our stay if I knew this in advance. Front desk staff was not very friendly unlike the wait staff for breakfast or bar who were splendid.

A beautiful property conveniently located across the River from the main and very busy part of town. 10 min walk at most. Also 15 min walk to train station. Very helpful staff and comfortable room. We stayed in the building across The street from main part of hotel. You will hear numerous church bells regardless of the hotel area. You would hear them from anywhere I expect.

Not a four star hotel.
No complaints about the hotel staff. While booking the rooms on hotels.com it was unclear that we were getting the rooms in the residence. The rooms are very ordinary. It is no way at 4star hotel. The breakfast at the cafe Tortelier across is much better. The location of the hotel is very good.

Nothing to not like at this hotel. Very impressed with the entire staff helping with taxis, a roll away bed, and even helping us celebrate as an extended family at a large dining table late at night, enjoying a Sacher torte chocolate cake we brought from Vienna. This hotel stay was a highlight of our European trip.
