Staff was friendly. Room was clean except for hair in bathtub. Was disappointed with the breakfast area. First morning ran out of milk and orange juice. Found the young lady who was attending the area in the prep room texting on her phone. Asked for milk and orange juice and she only brought out milk. Came down for breakfast on Monday and they were out of coffee!!!! We were told they went to the store to get some. Asked for ketchup and was told they were out till they went to store. We were there for six breakfasts. The last three days they were out of knives. There was an older women who kept the area clean. The young lady needs to be retrained to wipe counters, check on milk, orange juice not just the hot food. I hope the prep room was kept cleaner then the breakfast area. She should be trained to look at all the counters, tables and floor and clean up any mess she sees. We asked her to clean up spilled cereal and she only cleaned up some of it.
This was a more than fine place of lodging for my trip to Chicago. I was there to see old friends, and luckily the property worked as a great halfway point between Chicago and the suburbs. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. If I do this trip again, I will certainly look to book at this property.
Very Nice Hotel located near major shopping plaza. Excellent choice for shoppers who do not need to commute into Chicago downtown. Easy access to highways. About 20 minutes away from airport.
Free parking that's easy to find, and right in front of hotel.
Free WiFi Internet.
Unfriendly staff - a bit cold and always answer questions with single words like I am wasting their time.
The room was very clean and nice, but the refrigerator in one of our rooms would not stay cold. The people/staff were very kind and helpful, and the hot tub and pool were great. You could tell that it was an older facility, but overall very nice. The only part that we did not like, was the $17 pp charge for breakfast (no continental or any options other than the restaurant or room service). Would have loved to have seen a fairly priced option for food in the hotel. Other than that, the hotel was fairly priced, and worth the stay (easy driving distance to pretty much anything).
Schaumburg’s Woodfield Mall is the largest mall in the Chicagoland area. The suburb also boasts two nationally-known comedy clubs: The Improv, which hosts nationally-known performers, and the Chicago Comedy Club, which draws its talent entirely from the audience. The McDonald’s #1 Store Museum is in Des Plaines. It is a re-creation of the first-ever McDonald’s, which opened in 1955.
