Surprising Value!

Posted 03-Jan-2016
Pros: Great Location: terrific price and value!
Cons: HVAC: Very dry in the room as most hotels are. Better water pressure.
Location: Close to shopping and restaurants in Sawyer. Convenient to Red Arrow Highway and I 94.
My only true criticism is how little personality all low priced hotels exhibit in America. Little to no imagination in decor, amenities, and branding. Just clean and cheap, which appeals to many travelers. Even its a Super 8 it could use a little personality and some oomph in the presentation. You need to hire a consultant in design.

Southern region body hair on the bathroom floor, no blankets on the bed, just a coverlet. When asked the boy at the desk where to go for dinner he said the Gas station truck stop!! I said, maybe someplace not in a gas station, he said that the "Big Wigs" go to Crackers.....um I'm at a Super 8, not exactly a big wig. Rude/dirty/overpriced

Basic highway exit bed but not a place to visit.

En route to Route 66. This was a stop short of starting in Chicago the next day. Sawyer isn't much more than an exit and one road. The hotel is close to the interstate. The night clerk acts indifferent at best, just a step up from grunting. The morning guy was nice. Room clean, basic, Internet ok, nothing exceptional at what it cost.
