Indulge in the history of Hall Street, while being centrally located to everything in the Historic District. This 9 bedroom estate can accommodate up to 18 Lucky guests, and boasts nearly 5,000 square feet. This architectural gem was built in 1871, and offers many original details, such as original fireplaces with marble mantels, highly detailed ceiling medallions, floor to ceiling windows and hardwood floors. The stately exterior entrance leads you up to the parlor level to the main living spaces. Upon entering, note original historic details and the grand staircase that features original wood dating back to the late 1800s. Step into the living room which boasts natural light, tall ceilings, and an elegant modern furnishings. Just off of this space, a stunning formal dining room has seating for 8 guests for those intimate family meals. Guests will enjoy having an additional dining space at the large kitchen island that provides seating for 6\. The fully renovated gourmet kitchen is truly a chef's dream, with gorgeous granite countertops, high-end appliances, a beverage chiller, and fully stocked cabinets with everything you need to prepare meals. Another family room is tucked away off of the kitchen, and has a comfortable, plush, sofa with a large flat-screen TV. Just down the hall, a large porch overlooks the beautiful oak trees, and with plenty of seating you'll have plenty of room to spread out. Three bedrooms are located on the top floor of this grand estate, which are all fitted with pressed white linens, boast with an ample amount of space, and large smart televisions. Atop of the stairs, you can find a full-bathroom with an original clawfoot tub. Just down the hall, the main suite faces Hall Street, and has a King bed, large walk-in closet, attached sitting with an antique vanity, perfect for getting ready for the day. The main suite also offers an ensuite bathroom with a marble flooring, double vanity, large walk-in shower and relaxing soaking tub. The second guest room has a King bed, with ample closet space for your belongings. The third guest suite features another King bed with ensuite bathroom with double vanity and tub/shower combination. The garden level features a spacious gathering space and a large smart television, perfect for joining together at the end of a busy adventure filled day. Just off of the living space you'll find the kitchenette that offers the essentials you need to prepare home cooked meals, with a breakfast bar perfect for those morning cups of joe. At the back of the apartment, guests will find two additional bedrooms. Check-in was smooth, using information provided via email and on the Hospitality App. The central courtyard was our go-to gathering place for all 12 of our guests staying in both the main house and the carriage house. Our 1-week stay was quite enjoyable. I do however, have a couple of constructive comments. On check-in, we observed that the basic supplies provided were a bit lacking. Only a single roll of paper towels in each kitchen (we bought more). Only a single dish towel (we bought more). There were not enough dishes in the main house for the single in-house, chef-catered dinner we arranged. We had to pull random dishes and serving pieces from the other smaller kitchens. On our second night, we wanted to light the propane fire pit, but it wasn't working. I contacted the management company, and to my very pleasant surprise, they had a maintenance person on-site in less than an hour. On a Sunday, even. However, he quickly determined that he was not able to fix the issue. Someone was scheduled to come by next day at 1:00pm. he didn't show; and mgt company started to be non-responsive. One subsequent issue was when I asked if there was a replacement for the charcoal grill grate. Both grates were too rusted to use. Again, 100% non-responsive to this request. I ended up buying (and leaving) one. ##### Chris C. We would suggest getting trip insurance for any property from Lucky Savannah, as they won't let you cancel your stay for any reason. The weather ended up being great so we didn't have any issues! The house is very large and gorgeous-- perfect for big groups! We had the entire property, including the upper and lower levels of the carriage house. One thing that we didn't realize is that the carriage house is outside of the fenced in courtyard, so it does feel quite separate from the rest of the property! Still very nice, but we weren't clear on that when we were booking. Overall we were super happy with the home and the service & communication we got from Lucky Savannah. The house is quite old, so the upstairs of the main house was pretty warm in the afternoons, and we had some issues getting doors to lock properly and stay shut- but that's to be expected with homes this old. The bathrooms were super nice and updated, as was the kitchen! The courtyard was very spacious and the bedrooms in the main house were huge. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the house was amazing. We had a great time and enjoyed the house and the space if provided for us. We had some challenges upon check in. We arrived at the appointed check in time, and there were people still in the house. There were people there doing something with the internet, and the gardener was there, which we didn't know until he walked into the house talking on the phone while we were already checked in. In addition, i had to call three times during the check in process just to get access to all of the doors, etc. Two of the door codes were wrong, and the key fob for parking was missing (it had to be brought back to wasn't even at the house). The staff at Lucky Rentals were very helpful, the communication was great. There were only a few minor issues we had, we were not able to get the fire pit to work in the courtyard and the internet in the basement and carriage house was very weak. The mansion is simply beautiful! Well maintained, spotless, and most importantly, welcoming.We had 16 in our group, and no one had any complaints. There was plenty of room to hang with each other, yet be able to have some “me time” alone. The kitchen was a cook’s dream! We had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy our meals.The beds were sooooooo comfortable, with the fluffiest pillows! The rooms were spacious and immaculate.The courtyard was amazing! We were able to just enjoy the peace and quiet in the mornings, and enjoy the music coming from Forsyth Park during the jazz festival! Again, another well kept area.Bottom line: the girls have been raving about Wayne Mansion since 21 September, and they haven’t stopped yet.From the initial inquiry to checkout, the staff ROCKED! They answered every question, provided great info and links to information about the happenings in Savannah. They checked in with us on arrival day to ensure we were all set. We shared incredible memories! The location is perfect, near the Kroger Ans two block from a trolley stop. Lucky Savannah was good to deal with and we had no problems. Jamilla was very accommodating, going the extra mile to get us a card table and chairs to play bridge. She responded promptly to all requests. The garden house and carriage house could have been better. The beds in the lower carriage were uncomfortable. There appeared to be black mold in the garden house. Minor things like having only one hand towel in each bathroom and only one dish towel in the main house kitchen. The bedrooms in the main house were wonderful. So, if a group only needs 3 bedrooms...staying in the main house would be ideal. Reviewer Comments: Would recommend looking at other options for housing in Savannah...I had high expectations for staying at The Wayne Mansion on my wedding weekend and unfortunately expectations were not met. First, I was never notified that the property was available for check in despite assurance that would be the case, second I was provided the wrong passcode information for one of the apartments so couldn't get in, third I discovered that the passcodes for the house were actually the same as prior people who had stayed there (potentially for weeks if not months) which is a huge security issue, which fourth became a big problem when a stranger came to the home while we were there and let himself in saying he was a prior guest and though he left a chef's knife in the kitchen. Thankfully we were home otherwise we could have had everything stolen.The home is beautiful but we learned the location is not the safest (vs other parts of downtown Savannah, I would say rent at your own risk. Also do not expect that the rental company will work with you on adjusting the check-in process, they outsource their cleaning to a third party group who they say will notify when the home is ready for move-in, but they do not share the contact info of the cleaning service and ultimately the cleaning service never notified that the property was ready so you're really "out of luck" with Lucky Savannah here. ##### A guest from , ---
