Don't stay here. First, you have to understand that I booked a solid week. Second, I made sure that the hotel had Wi-Fi because that is how I intended to do all of my research instead of paying exorbitant international fees on my cell phone. So imagine my dismay when I first connect to the Wi-Fi and find that there is no Internet service. I didn't say anything the first night, but when it happened the second night I spoke with the front desk. They asked me if I was able to connect to the Wi-Fi and I said yes. He asked what the problem was that and I told him that although I could connect to the Wi-Fi there was no Internet access or it was very slow. He told me that's just the way it is there's nothing can do about it.

Simple, fuss free and good location.

The stay was pleasant. The female staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location is great with buses and metro nearby. Room is clean but there was no duvet nor blanket. Only a piece of flat sheet to be used as a blanket which was too thin when the air-condition was turned on.

Decent stay

My experience here was average. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was the smallest I've ever slept in and it was difficult to control the temperature in the room no matter what I set the thermostat to. It was OK, but the price of the room was a bit steep for what I expected.

Stay here if you want to be near public transport

The service was good. The room itself is a bit tiny, the room temperature was hard to control, but otherwise I liked it. It was very clean, excellent location (right across from a 24 hour cafe) and train station, and of course, exceptional customer service.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in Gracia. Hotel was spotless. The room was quite small but big enough, you'll spend most of your time out exploring. Great location - footsteps away from a bakery where we picked up breakfast every morning before catching the metro. Short walk to the main restaurants in Gracia for amazing tapas. Would recommend Via Augusta.

Keep coming back.

Have stayed here many times. This is a well run mid-range hotel in an area close to the center, but away from tourist hordes.

About 15 minutes walking to plaza Catalunya

The front staff was extremely polite and helpful. Better than some 5 stars hotel concierges. For 10 euros, their breakfast is a well worth bargain.

great experience

After some of the previous reviews, I was pretty nervous about staying here, but we had a great experience. We were on the 3rd floor and had an outside view facing the church which was across the street. Based on other reviews, I think this was pretty lucky so I just wanted to point that out as I don't know if my rating would have been as good if we were facing a cement wall instead. Housekeeping was great, and our room was very clean. Newer TV's with only Spanish-speaking channels, but that is to be expected. Wifi was wonderful the whole time we were there - never had a single issue with it, and it was very reliable. Front desk was always professional and polite, but we didn't have much interaction with them. The location was absolutely perfect. I love that it was a little quieter than staying right in all the action, but we were close enough to anywhere we'd want to be either by walking or by taking the metro which was very, very close. I felt very safe in this location, even when we returned late at night. One prior review mentioned it was hard to find, but I disagree - we didn't have any troubles with that whatsoever. The bed was two singles pushed together to make a king which was kind of uncomfortable, but again to be expected in Europe. The beds were also very hard, but that is normal for European standards. We did not eat breakfast there so I can't speak to that. They did have shampoo, soap, and lotion. If we return to Barcelona, I would absolutely stay here again.

It is a nice hotel but you need to make sure you reserved a street-facing room. Other fa├žade is adjacent to a restaurant and there is no way to open the windows. Rather than that we really enjoyed our stay, room was comfy and clean.
