This two bedroom, two bathroom beach cottage is so close to the beach you can smell the salt air! That's especially true on the spacious patio, where you can relax, dine al fresco, and grill out. The family dog is also welcome here for a small nightly fee. White picket fences, Savannah shutters, and lush tropical landscaping give this property a classic Florida feel. Inside, the living room offers a comfortable place to relax while watching the 40-inch SmartTV, and you'll have your pick of two other TVs, a DVD player, and free WiFi. The beach's sugary sand is right at the end of your street, so stroll down there to gaze out to sea or bask in the Florida sun. This beach house is tucked away in one of the town's quieter neighborhoods, and you can take the free trolley to other parts of the island if you're in the mood to explore. If you just can't stay away from the water, rent a boat (or take a tour!) with Egmont Key Adventures, based just under two miles away. Take a break from the beach with something fishy at The Ugly Grouper and something savory at Smoqehouse, both within four-and-a-half miles.

All guests occupying this property who are under the age of 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We will not be accepting payments for pool heat for the months of May through October.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Great place, needs a few things
Very cute cottage a half block from beach. Nice back deck with table and chairs, but needed washing. Tight fit for one car in driveway, two would be difficult. No dish soap, only provided dishwasher pods but no dishwasher. No filters for coffee maker. Street and bar noisy, but didn’t really bother us. Code for front door didn’t work, but called manager who told me where keys were. Overall we enjoyed it.

The checki-in process was terrible. Entry code didn’t work and the person answering 800 number was not helpful. Wi-Fi code didn’t work either. Local office on the island was helpful. Had to fix the master shower ourselves. Location was great for beach access but the noise from the traffic on Gulf Dr was bad.

Great location, cottage needs some work
This cottage is in a great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t need a golf cart and it’s a short walk to the beach. However, because it’s on the corner it is loud. You can hear absolutely everything outside which made it a bit hard to fall asleep most nights. We had trouble getting into the cottage, the key pad never worked but thankfully we were able to use the keys. The master bathroom needs attention, there was no hot water in the shower and the toilet felt like it was going to break at any moment. Thankfully it was just two of us, I don’t think it would have worked with any additional people. The overall cottage could use some work and updating as we didn’t find it very comfortable but we didn’t spend much of our time there anyway. Overall, the great location outweighed most of the cons.

Best Beachside getaway
Dog friendly, fenced. 80+ year old could walk to the beach. Pub crawl and shopping a easy walk to . Massive sugar sand beach . Worth the drive to Detweilers Amish farm Market king size shrimp 10$ a pound and samples throughout.

Great location!
Location was great! We could walk to most everything and didn’t use golf cart as much as usual. 4 people is tight. We didn’t stay in much so it worked for us, but it is definitely “cozy.” The master bath was terrible. No hot water and the toilet was difficult to flush. We enjoyed our stay very much. It’s a cute place even if dated. The location was outstanding

Small cottage in poor condition
We booked the Seashell cottage primarily for its proximity to the beach since it is only one block from the sand and that was a feasible walk for my elderly parents. The cottage is very small so 5 adults were on top of each other with little privacy. We were not impressed by the lack of cleanliness of the dishes and silverware. There was missing a set of sheets and pillows for the sofa bed and the internet service was inoperable. All usable shelving was filled up with kitschy decorations and the screen on the kitchen door was broken. Being on a busy street meant that there was loud traffic and emergency vehicles noise. This cottage is convenient for beach access but I would not recommend it based on the small size and apparent lack of upkeep.

Wouldn’t go again to the cottage or island…
Firstly, the area of the island is very strict. There are extreme noise ordinances; no noise after 10am at all, no music sounding from cars, golf carts, bluetooth speakers, etc EVER. No dogs, music or alcohol of any sort and all are worth major fines of $500 each. Zero tolerance policies. The place was totally bizarre. Only beer and wine were served in the immediate restaurants and bars except one. The bars close around 9:30pm even the sports bars… too bad if the game is still on. I would never visit this restrictively bizarre place again. The cottage was okay. Very dark and gloomy, no deadbolt locks on any of the doors, the furniture is in very well worn condition, no dishwasher and a plethora of dirty dishes in the cabinets, and very hard mattresses and pillows. No comforts of home here. It was decently clean though. We left a day and a half early…

Great location and comfort!
We arrived to find the property clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for the three adults and two large pups. In-house washer and dryer was a huge bonus! The only issue was parking- the spot provided was no where near big enough to park anything other than a small compact car. We had to park on the street and got a ticket at one time. Make sure to read the parking signs! Lol Great stay- would definitely stay here again!
