Excellent restaurant, who catered for our gluten free person really well. The room was really hot, despite air con. The bed had a foam topper which was possibly the cause of us feeling so hot overnight.

A very functional option
Like all Ibis hotels, this was conveniently situated on the outskirts of town. Sufficient parking. Restaurant across the road (open fairly late). The staff were ready and efficient. Bar is available at any time if you request at reception. The room as you'd expect - clean and functional. The hotel also has a pool, which is a bonus in summer. The usual hotel breakfast.

Great stop over in route to the cote d'azur. Ckean, friendly and welcoming hotel. Comfortable rooms, goid shower decent restaurant and a pool was an added bonus to cool off in after a 6 hour drive. Covid safe and felt very comfortable there.

Close to highway
The room was not very clean and the air-conditioning wasn't working. Beds were comfy. Cold eggs, ham and cheese were is not much of a person doesn't like the sweet stuff.

Great stopover
Efficient hotel and welcoming reception. It is cheap and comfortable for an overnight stay. 20 minute walk from a lovely town but not situated in a particularly lovely part of town. As a stopover it's ideal with some good places to eat in Chalon sur Saone

My only complaint is that the room temperature was difficult to control, repeatedly drifting up from the set level. Otherwise very satisfactory

Stayed at the Ibis Chalon-sur-Saone on our way from Calais to the Var region of Souther France. Hotel was perfect for an over night rest before continuing our journey! Inexpensive, Convenient and Excellent facilities.

The hotel was good but the breakfast at over 9E was very poor. Unlike their sister hotel at Auxerre whose breakfast was included in the room price and had a much larger choice. No toaster no cooked eggs no fresh milk at Chalon.

Everything about are stay was excellan!, welcoming & helpful staff, the resturant was very good for our evening meal , also a very good breakfast the following morning. It was an over night stop for us & we would use this hotel again & we highley recommend it. So close to the motorway to.

Comfortable room and really good breakfast.
This Ibis hotel is a little dated. The beds were still excellent but the room was really small. However, the bathroom was roomy! And, the breakfast was really good.

Very accessible from the highway.
This hotel was very easy to get to and the service was great. It is sparse on amenities, but we were comfortable. Charon sur Soane was a great spot for visiting wineries in the burgundy area.

Great hotel for stopover on way to Alps
Comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff. Free car parking & good value buffet breakfast (9 euro). We spent just one night on our way down to the mountains but could have stayed longer in the pretty town.

One night stop between UK and Alps, not much in local area of interest but that suited us. Good food in Hotel restaurant in evening and breakfast, friendly staff. I would not hesitate to visit again.

A nice comfortable hotel near the Autoroute.
This Ibis is in a block surrounded my multiple different classes of IBIS hotels. It is a little tricky to access since you have to go past it to the next roundabout and back down a slip road. It looks like this hotel is used by coach drivers who are sleeping over, so the whole car park area was full of coaches. It was still possible to park OK though. The room was very comfortable, and although we had eaten before arriving, the restaurant was still serving at 21h00 on a Sunday night. The breakfast was standard fare and well-presented, although some things are hard to reach if you are not very tall. This is a nice hotel close to the autoroute and handy for travelling North or South - it is handy if going on to Lyon. There is a large Centre Commercial close by with shops, eating and petrol. Will definitely use again, and next time - will also eat there !

Great Value stopover from S. France to Calais
Excellent value accommodation, very comfortable and it seems to be a newer Ibis. Their restaurant failed to deliver in terms of quality and service. Over-pretentious wine list and menu choices. They would be better to keep it simple. Next time we will eat at the Ibis over the crossroads opposite. Also there is an Ibis Budget adjacent. Has a large car park. I recommend using Sat Nav to locate this hotel. Would definitely stay here again but restaurant lets them down for both breakfast and supper.

Overnight stopover close to motorway
Handy stopover on way from the French Alps back to the UK. Hotel has a restaurant thought we ate at "A La Boone Heure" just the other side of the dual carriageway, which was a very good value buffet. The Buffalo Grill, which we tried first, was full. Hotel was quiet. Also a cheap petrol station just opposite.

Average hotel
We stayed at this hotel for only one night. It is a typical Ibis hotel, is newly built but it still has a few teething problems. Our room was clean and modern but the toilet was leaking. Unfortunately it was rather too late on the evening before we realised so we left our towels to soak up the water. The staff were very pleasant and friendly but we had problems with communication due to the language barrier. We drove to the near by Old town which is on the river, very historical and pleasant. The hotel is situated by other Ibis hotels, a housing estate and a shopping area. The town is in walking distance and there is a lovely outdoor pool at the hotel.
